Mojang excludes Minecraft 2: “Do you think we’ll have land 2?”

Minecraft celebrated his 15th anniversary last year, but despite the growth in these troublesome teenage years, it seems that the developer Mojang is not planning to replace him with a continuation.

During his last trip to Stockholm, Ign asked about the possibility of the best -selling game of all time. Interla Garneij, executive manufacturer Minecraft Vanilla, had a amusing for us, to the answer point: “Do you think we will have 2 land? No, no, there is no minecraft 2.”

Although Minecraft 2.0 is apparently not on the horizon, this does not mean that the phenomenon of survival will not develop. In fact, plans stretch to the future, at least to double the current life.

It is an ambition powered by Mojang’s desire to introduce innovation, continuing the mine and craftsmanship, so to speak, novel ideas for their solid foundations. These foundations begin to show their age, admitted Garneij and although there are no plans to renovate the engine, it means that the novel content, such as the newly disclosed update of vibrating graphics, takes time.

Despite this, Minecraft is still one of the most popular games in the world and, if we can say, does not show any signs of slowdown. There is also no plan for Minecraft to go for free or employ AI generative technology. Just don’t expect you to play Minecraft 2 in the near future. In any case, not on this land.
