It took them enough time, but Microsoft finally confirmed the price for ROG Xbox Ally X and ROG Xbox Ally, just a few weeks before Handheld’s premiere on October 16.
Two models are valued as follows:
- ROG Xbox Ally X: Available for USD 999.99, 899.99 € and 799.99 £
- Rog Xbox Ally: Available for $ 599.99, $ 599.99 and 499.99 £
These are somewhat inhibited prices, undoubtedly thanks to the very inhibited situation with imports and tariffs in the USA. What is surprising is that although the basic model corresponds to 1 to € 1, the X ally with higher power earns $ 1 € 0.90. The valuation of the equipment between the regions is arduous at the best moment, but it definitely makes the base ally a bit less attractive in Europe.
ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X were developed in cooperation between Xbox and ASUS, the successor of Asus’s first effort, The 2023 ROG Ally, but with a newer chipset, Xbox brand and with Microsoft Build functions to order in Windows 11 for these and other portable PC games.
Sharing the same coefficient with the right hands and a 7 ″ 1080p screen, there is an internal difference, but under the hood they have quite impressive specifications. Both have AMD processors, with the Xbox ally, the AMD Ryzen Z2 processor, which connects the Zen 2 processor cores and GPU RDNA 2 architecture with 16 GB of RAM and 512GD SSD. Meanwhile, Xbox Ally X has an extreme Ryzen AI Z2 processor, which jumps to newer architecture with three Zen 5 cores and five additional Zen 5C cores, combined with RDNA 3.5 GPU architecture, massive 24 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage.
ROG Xbox Ally has an architectural basis similar to Xbox Series X consoles | S, but with different CPU and GPU cores, it has about half of what is found in the S. Ryzen Z2 series and actually uses older architecture than the outgoing Ryzen Z1 (which was used in the original ROG Ally), although with a different balance in basic numbers, such as GPUs, such as GPU, such as GPU. Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme with ROG Xbox Ally X is also re -balanced in the core configuration compared to Ryzen Z1 Extreme, but most importantly, it has a neuron engine that could be used for FSR growth, as well as more GPU computing units to improve the output graphics.
All this is to say that we are looking forward to references and comparisons to see how these two consoles compare themselves, both with each other, with other conveyors and the Series S.
