Dotemu has announced that Metal Slug Tactics is just around the corner, with a release date for PS5 and PS4 of November 5, 2024. The news – seen above – is accompanied by a modern trailer that reveals three more playable characters for tactical battles. In addition to the regular digital version, a physical release is planned and more news will be available soon.
Three additional characters you can take into battles are Clark Still, Ralf Jones and Leona Heidern. Two are back from previous entries, and Leona is completely modern. Its goal is to “replace fallen enemies with luring allies; can distract and overwhelm enemy forces with its unique approach to combat zone dominance.”
Pre-orders on the PS Store will likely begin soon with the following description: “Metal Slug Tactics offers a fresh take on the iconic battles of the METAL SLUG series. Lead your team to victory with strategic cunning and superior firepower in the game’s perfect blend of classic action and tactical depth. Unleash powerful special attacks and shape the outcome of every encounter!
