Deadpool and Wolverine are the box office hit that Disney and Marvel studios have been waiting for, but most fans are still not convinced we are back. Sure, other recent movies and shows have been pretty good, but as of about 2022, we’re stuck in a middling to bad zone that lacks the spark of the Infinity Saga era. Well, this 85th anniversary movie is really trying to sell the idea that things are about to get better.

The whole thing is undoubtedly emotional, as it doesn’t forget the founding fathers of Marvel and its main characters, as well as the legacy that has been built off-screen. Things get more surprising as we move into the movies and TV shows, and we get clips from Fox movies and even ABC’s Agent Carter. Of course, not every show and movie about Marvel characters gets their moment in the spotlight, but I would personally say they did a great job of capturing why people have been interested in these stories and characters for so long.
As for the first looks at Thunderbolts*, Daredevil: Born Again, Ironheart, and Red Hulk (played by Harrison Ford) from Captain America: Brave New World, they last only a few seconds, but diehard fans will appreciate the opportunity to see some HD footage of the upcoming projects after weeks of cellphone footage and blurry social media photos posted after SDCC and D23 panels.
Next up from House of M is Agatha All Along, a witchy sequel to WandaVision that may be coming too behind schedule but could still be a cold Spooktober attraction. In 2025, we get at least Daredevil: Born Again and Ironheart are coming to Disney Plus, while Captain America: Brave New World, the Thunderbolts* crossover, and The Fantastic Four are coming to theaters. Surely some of these have to be good and get us a little excited for Avengers: Doomsday, right?
