Marvel Rivals launched with many popular names from the superhero world, but some of them are better than others.
Within the first few days it became quite clear that several characters were a step above the rest. In the right roles, these are the best options to consider. That said, the names present at the lower levels also have their uses. In the right hands they can be truly powerful.
Marvel Rivals S Tier List
S-tier characters are the best choice if you want to dominate games. Their abilities make them quite overwhelming compared to the other options available in their respective roles.
Here are some of the best characters to choose from:
- Venom is my favorite Vanguard because it is the only tank that offers a unique form of mobility. His swing allows him to move around the map with ease, and his crowd control abilities are top notch. His ultimate can act as the perfect nuclear weapon and wipe out multiple enemies if their health is low.
- Luna Snow White is the best support if you know how to aim with it. Her skills are great for healing the team, and her basic skills are used to both heal allies and damage enemies.
- Wolverine he’s a tough nuker who can take down almost anyone if he engages in a 1v1 fight. Just be careful not to engage too many enemies in a tough spot.
- Winter Soldier he’s probably the best all-rounder on the current roster.
- Captain America he may not be as forceful as Venom when it comes to being a tank, but his mobility is an advantage. His ability to combine in several different roles makes him a good addition.
- Adam Warlockhis base skills may not be as powerful as Luna Snow’s (although they are easier to master), but his ultimate, Karmic Rebirth, can completely revitalize an entire team. This can completely change the course of the round and surprise the enemy.
- Squirrel is a solid DPS unit with very few weaknesses. It works well with the Vanguard, who can protect it and ensure its survival. He deals incredible damage with his skills and has one of the best CC potentials in the entire lineup.
Marvel Rivals A-tier list
A-level characters may not look as attractive as S-level characters, but they can be a good choice if you are proficient in them.

These characters are worth using and can be considered S-tier if they are in an optimal situation:
- Magneto can be considered S level if you can manage its leisurely speed. It will take you a long time to learn and master him, but he could be a great choice for a potential Vanguard main character.
- Iron Fist can be considered S level if the player knows what he is doing. My experience with him was penniless as most of my teammates didn’t know how to exploit his diving skills to deal maximum damage.
- Spider-Man he may have the best mobility in the entire game and can deal a lot of damage. That said, the skill cap needed to learn your favorite Spiderman is a bit high.
- Moon Knight he can deal massive amounts of damage with his Crescent Dart and Moon Blade moves, and he’s one of the easiest characters to learn. That said, his ultimate is quite frail and that’s the main reason he’s at Tier A.
- Doctor Strange you can get into the S level if you play with a team that communicates well. If you are playing with strangers, it will be tough to fully utilize his teleportation abilities.
- Hawkeye is one of the more tough heroes to master, even if he can deal a lot of damage. You’ll need to learn to exploit his focus mechanic well, and with this you’ll be able to one-shot brittle enemies.
- PsylockeStealth-based skills make her unique and tough for the enemy to counter.
- BigHis blocking ability often makes him a good choice if there are too many gentle characters on your team. However, his real potential lies in the composition of the team.
- Jeff he’s not A-rated because he’s cute; his skills are great in team battles and he can facilitate you save a teammate from death.
- Star Lord it’s the perfect choice for aggressive players, and the hero is simple to learn. That said, his skills can be improved if NetEase wants more players to give Peter Quill some love.
- Lokithe main strength is creating decoys, which are great for distracting enemies. His skills are also very helpful in healing the team.
- Hela it can do incredible damage in a miniature period of time if you can manage its range. It is the equivalent of a sniper in that you have to aim precisely and target the enemy’s vulnerable areas.
You will find that the A-tier list has a maximum number of characters, making it a vigorous set for players to choose from.
Marvel Rivals B Tier List
The B-level characters are decent at best, but they all have better choices in their roles.

- Punisher is a good DPS character who relies on his turrets and ultimate to push targets. However, players can choose from better alternatives.
- Magic is one of the most tough characters to train, as her melee DPS style can make her susceptible to quick death. If the team has good healers and tanks, it can be a gem of a character.
- Storm she can act as a DPS while also being a strategist, and unfortunately this is her main weakness. A more focused ensemble would have helped her stand out more.
- Iron Man he has air mobility and ranged damage skills, but once again his kit will need a boost.
- Rocket raccoon isn’t a bad choice for support, but unfortunately Adam Warlock, Luna Snow, and Groot are better picks.
- Mantis can be considered for class A if you play in a well-coordinated team. Her kit is entirely focused on healing, so you’ll need partners who understand her role well.
- The Scarlet Witch he certainly has an engaging set of skills, but above all he doesn’t deal that much damage. Considering how great healers they are currently, they will need a complete buff in a future update.
Marvel Rivals C-Tier List
It’s not worth thinking too much about C-level characters. There are several reasons why you shouldn’t choose any of the other characters in the game Marvel Rivals list.
- Pontoon he has three different forms, with his Hero Hulk form being the most powerful. Unfortunately, he has a huge hitbox (making him an simple target) and doesn’t deal much damage.
- Black Panther he is a tough hero to master and his skill set is not as powerful as you might expect.
- penny parkerAbilities and damage potential depend on the opponent and their vulnerability to your traps.
- NamorThe USP is mainly based on its towers, but they are not very powerful. They can be easily destroyed, and combining him with Luna Snow doesn’t make them any more robust.
- Cloak and daggerThe kit is similar to Mantis, but offers more flexibility. But more options aren’t always better, so if you want a pure healer, just go for Mantis.
It will be engaging to see what characters will be added alongside Marvel Rivals. As of now, NetEase has not announced anything. Additionally, all characters are available to players and can be switched between matches.
