Marvel Rivals Dev says that they do not troll data – “we would prefer to spend time developing the game”

Published:

Marvel Rivals Dataminers believe that developers troll them with letters of potential future characters hidden in the game code. But Netease and Marvel say they have better things to do … How to actually create a game.

Last month, Dataaminers began to share the names of potential future heroes hidden in the Code of Marvel’s rivals, a few of which seemed to be confirmed quite quickly when fantastic four were officially announced. However, as the list of data heroes increased, another rumor began to circulate in the community: some of the names were false, planted by programmers in order to mislead data.

Even now the community there is a dispute about what if any of the data from the data is really seriously considered for the game.

Recently, we had the opportunity to directly ask the manufacturer Marvel Rivals Weicong Wu and manufacturer Marvel Games, Danny Koo, if they secretly perform a complicated troll. And although it sounds as if there were no jokes here, we should continue to take all the names found in the salt grain code. Here’s what Wu had to say:

I pushed them a bit, asking them if they deliberately troll people. Koo replied: “No. We would prefer to spend time developing a real game. “

In the same conversation, we also discussed how the character is chosen to Marvel’s rivals. They both told me that the team plans to update about a year earlier and is involved in maintaining the current pace of adding novel characters every six months. For each update, Netease first analyzes what type of character and skills is needed to balance the rest of the game and add a variety of the list and develop a list of several different possible additions. Wu told me that the part of the Netease strategy regarding the achievement of the game balance is less focusing on the aggressive improvement of existing characters to be perfectly adapted, and more on adding novel characters and experiences to keep freshness, fill the gaps, supporting characters that are a bit tender With novel team’s abilities or counterattack characters that may be a bit too sturdy.

After obtaining a list of possibilities, Netease will then take these suggestions to Marvel Games and start working on preliminary projects. From there, they look at what the community is currently excited, as well as what is planned from the year earlier in other Marvel divisions, such as a great film or a comic arc with which they can link a character. This helps them make the final decision about who will enter. All this explains why there can be many different heroes in the code – Netease has many ideas that are thrown all the time.

Marvel Rivals was great for the premiere, and each novel character seems to be stronger, with a human torch and what is the latest heroes joining the game on February 21. We also talked to Wu and KOO about the possibility of this release of Nintendo Switch 2 for Marvel Rivals, which you can read about here.
