Marvel Cosmic Invasion Patch Notes

Amendments!

  • Heteropteron blocker – Fixed an issue where turning OFF camera shake effects prevented the movie from starting, stopping superheroes in stage 13
  • Multiplayer crashes – Fixed an issue where joining a multiplayer session and resetting story progress would cause a crash
  • Enemy deception! – Fixed an issue where Master Mold became indestructible and untargetable, which was just rude
  • Venom problems – Fixed issues causing Venom to freeze after parrying during Symbiote Leap or immediately lose armor during Venom Bite
  • Blocking updates – Fixed an issue where superhero stats would not update after leveling up unless players returned to the main menu.
  • Enemy superpowers – Fixed an issue where enemies would deal extremely high damage on their first hit while grappling
  • Annihilus’ invulnerability – Fixed an issue (and related issues) where Annihilus could not re-enter the stunned/defenseless state and players could not deal damage
  • Where is Hela?! – Fixed a bug that caused Hela to desync while teleporting
  • Annihilus forever! – Fixed an issue where Annihilus would not stop attacking after his shield was damaged
  • Multiplayer connections – Fixed a bug that could cause issues where the host would disconnect when superheroes joined the lobby (now it should just go back to the multiplayer menu)
  • The reigning She-Hulk – Now added an option to make controller vibrations only for players controlling the character (meaning that She-Hulk’s controller vibrations only occur for the player controlling her)
  • Cosmic, hold on to what?! – Fixed an issue where superheroes would sometimes swap when respawning
  • At least trust me – The character who threw the enemy will now be considered the instigator when determining who will be credited with shooting the bomb off the assembly line
  • Cosmic stability – We have implemented additional lobby stability protection when players reach the end of the game in Arcade Mode
  • Interrogating a vampire – Fixed a bug that prevented superheroes from using the Vampire modifier in Arcade Mode
  • Choose your character! – Fixed a character order issue in character select for Steam Deck and Linux. This should fix desync/online crashes between Steam Deck and other versions

In our Marvel Cosmic Invasion review, Ade said: “After finding Tribute Games’ previous game, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, to be one of the best side-scrolling fighting games I’ve ever played, I had high expectations for Marvel Cosmic Invasion. How could a Shredder’s Revenge with Marvel characters go wrong? Unfortunately, Marvel Cosmic Invasion is okay, but it’s nothing more than that.”
