Lumiterra, the long-awaited web3 multiplayer game gameofficially fired its second closed beta test (CBT 2) today, November 11, 2024. This phase will last approximately three weeks and will offer players an enhanced experience with fresh features, improved gameplay and more rewards. The Lumiterra team incorporated extensive community feedback from the first CBT trial to provide a more refined and addictive gaming experience.
New features and improvements
CBT 2 introduces several invigorating updates that deepen your progress both horizontally and vertically. Players can now upgrade all equipment beyond level 1, adding fresh strategic options to the game.
The equipment upgrade system allows players to enter an upgraded lottery every time they upgrade their equipment, with winners receiving 70% of the lottery prize pool, which is filled with prizes accumulated from other players’ upgrade fees.
The game also includes expanded Dungeon difficulty levels, now offering six levels of challenge. Higher difficulty levels earn higher scores, rankings and rewards.
Additionally, a fresh dungeon called Centennial Trials will be available with CBT 2, containing nine fresh levels, each with ten stages. Players can complete daily challenges to earn level rewards and be entered into the Centennial Trials prize drawing, which takes place every 30 minutes.
New events and introduction
One of the standout additions in CBT 2 is the Escort Slime event, an open-world PvP event. Players must protect Slime from enemy attacks and guide him to safety, earning rewards for successful missions. This event tests players’ combat skills and strategy across three levels of Slime: Emerald, Water, and Gold.
Beginner tasks have also been significantly improved to better support fresh player onboarding. NPCs Gunner, Nash and Hsaki will guide players through the most crucial activities, crafting, upgrading, collecting and exploring Dungeons. This fresh onboarding system ensures that fresh players can quickly start playing and enjoy the game.
Access and participation
Access to CBT 2 is available to several groups, including CBT 1 players with a Reputation Score of 1000 or higher, those who top-up during CBT 1, and anyone who accessed the whitelist through Lumiterra events. Additionally, all Axie collector owners can participate. Players who are not in these groups can still gain access by completing Lumiterra Whitelist challenges.
