Lords of the Fallen 2 devs ‘praying’ for FromSoftware reveal at The Game Awards, not jokes behind statue

There was a brief moment delayed last week where fans were convinced Game rewards The mystery statue tease was related to Lords of the Fallen 2.

For those who aren’t up to date, Geoff Keighley posted about the activation outside of Los Angeles, which previews the reveal expected at this week’s awards ceremony.

While there have been various predictions about what this will involve – including everything from Diablo to God of War – no one has solved the mystery yet.

Late last week, some mysterious phrases appeared X (Or Twitter) led fans to believe that it might be teasing the upcoming action RPG Lords of the Fallen 2, but now the CEO of developer CI Games has said that this is not the case.

Marek Tyminski wrote:

“I’m flattered that so many people think we’re behind this monument. I can confirm it’s not us, we’re just as excited as you are. The developers are praying this is something from FromSoftware. Huge respect to them and we dream of reaching that level one day. Great news is coming for both Lords of the Fallen and Lords 2. We’ve listened. Soon it’s time to reveal it. Thanks for the mad love in August trailer, now we are ready to speed it up even more.”

We’re guessing some sort of FromSoftware announcement is possible, as Keighley seems to have a good relationship with the studio and now that Elden Ring: Nightreign is out now, it’s actually a Switch 2 exclusive Darkbloods in the pipeline.

It will be engaging to see if The Game Awards can keep the buzz surrounding this announcement alive during an event later in the week, or if this reveal will eventually leak out.
