- Four Quarters’ Loop Hero Hits 1 Million Mobile Downloads
- And although we don’t know how many paying customers are, it’s still impressive
- Loop Hero takes you on a roguelike adventure where you face off against an evil lich who has thrown time into chaos
Four Quarter’s time-bending RPG Loop Hero has surpassed one million downloads on mobile devices alone, it was announced. Just two months after the game hit mobile, having first appeared on Steam in 2021, it seems that mobile fans are still hungry for more Loop Hero.
Loop Hero throws you into a time loop roguelike adventure where an evil lich has thrown the world into chaos. You’ll have to take your hero on various expeditions, upgrading him and finding recent gear along the way, slowly working your way to the final battle and hopefully saving the world.
Published on mobile devices by Playdigious, Loop Hero was reviewed by us right after its release, and we were immediately impressed by its fantastically original story and gameplay mechanics.
What’s available on mobile?
We’ve recently seen another “Why is there nothing good on mobile?” comment on social media, and we think games like Loop Hero are an indicator of just how weird the idea is. The fact is, even if you’re not a fan of gacha, strategy, or casual games, more indie developers than ever are seeing the potential in bringing even premium games to mobile.
Loop Hero has over a million downloads in two months, which is solid proof of that. Of course, we don’t necessarily know how many people have spent money on the full game (Loop Hero is free to try), but we’re sure that even a miniature number of them becoming full customers should make the mobile version a tempting proposition.
