Lollipop RePop Chainsaw Launched Early

Published:

Lollipop Chainsaw RePop’s release date has not been delayed again, but has been pushed back by almost two weeks to September 12, 2024.

As reported GematsuDeveloper Dragami Games confirmed that this change will impact all versions of the game — PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, Nintendo Switch, and PC — in North, Central, and South America, and Europe.

The previous release date of September 25 came after another postponement to summer 2024 and even earlier than 2023, but with just a month left until the final date of September 12, it’s likely Dragami Games will stick with that one.

Lollipop Chainsaw will hit the market sooner than expected.

Lollipop Chainsaw RePop is a remake of the original Lollipop Chainsaw, telling the story of high school cheerleader and zombie hunter Juliet Starling, who fights the apocalypse with her boyfriend’s severed head at her side.

“RePop is the definitive version of the game that leaves the story intact, with a focus on quality of life improvements and additional gameplay content,” Dragami Games CEO Yoshimi Yasuda said in June.

The game has gained a legion of fans, but in our 5/10 review, IGN stated, “Lollipop Chainsaw doesn’t even try to differentiate itself from the genre, and most of what it offers is does tries something new in the character department, and the script ultimately ends up taking away from what was an amazing-on-paper action game.”
