Publisher and developer Dragami Games has revealed that Lollipop Chainsaw RePop, a remaster of the 2012 zombie action game, will be released on September 25 for PlayStation, Xbox, Switch and PC. Dragami revealed this release date in the first RePop trailer, which shows off some of the remastered gameplay and characters players will meet in the game. Lollipop Chainsaw is a collaboration between Goichi “Suda51” Suda (No More Heroes, Killer7) and Guardians of the Galaxy director and current DC film chief James Gunn. At the time of Lollipop’s release, Chainsaw Gunn was primarily known for directing films To slip AND chillyand a screenplay for two live-action films about Scooby Doo and Zach Snyder Dawn of the Dead redo. In addition to the trailer, Dragami also shared various details about the Chainsaw Lollipop remaster, including that players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC can enjoy the game at 4K resolution and 60 frames per second (PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch versions support 1080p resolution and 30 FPS). Dragami claims that RePop has faster load times, improved camera and key press response, increased attack speed, as well as faster movement speed.
Furthermore, the Chainsaw Thrower now has the option to “enable auto swing”, auto fire mode, and increased maximum ammo count, and combos can now be used from the start of the game. Nick Roulette has received some changes, as have the minigames. Additionally, the fresh Auto QTE feature is now enabled by default.
