The Logitech G305 Lightspeed is a budget wireless gaming mouse that usually costs between A$75 and A$100. This is one of our favorite wireless gaming mice, taking first place in the budget subcategory, mainly because, despite its affordable price, it boasts Logitech’s best “Hero” sensor.
It’s also super delicate, and while it doesn’t feel as gem-y as Logitech’s more high-priced peripherals can, it still has solid build quality: this thing will last a while, and you’ll be much better off buying one of them – whether for gaming or productivity – than tons of anonymous stuff available on Amazon and elsewhere for about the same cost.
By the way, these expenses: which we currently spend on $46.55 if you are an Amazon Prime member, or 49 Australian dollars if you’re not. Basically you’re saving AU$2.50 for the hassle of sending another bogus email to get another free trial of Amazon Prime (unless you’re a legitimate Amazon Prime subscriber, in which case aren’t you fancy?). I leave it to you to decide whether the effort is worth it.
In addition to being a quick and precise wireless gaming mouse (12,000 DPI and the aforementioned Hero sensor), the G305 Lightspeed will also last 200 hours on a single AA battery. If you’re not using the included 2.4GHz wireless dongle, you can store it in the mouse, which is a nice touch.
If you’re feeling more indulgent, Amazon is currently selling the much higher-end Logitech G Pro Wireless Gaming Mouse for just AUD 85compared to the regular retail price of $179 to $250. There is one caveat: it is branded with the Shroud streamer logo. Maybe you even like it.
