2024 brought us many fantastic games, but those that remain largely overlooked (or at least that is how it feels) is Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown.
Publishing on PS5 and PS4 in January last year, the game attracted the recognition of critics and a lot of love from those who played it, but never had as great influence as possible. Still, saying this, the game recently confirmed that it reached “well” over 2 million players:
In a social post, the number of players is official and focuses on irritations more things that will come for the Prince of Persia series.
Indeed, we already know about Roguelike, a dishonest prince of Persia, who is finally coming to the console, as well as the prince of Persia: the remake of Sands of Time is still in development.
Whether a post suggests that it is even more on the way, it’s strenuous to say.
At the beginning of this year, it was reported that the game sold about 1.3 million copies in the first year. Although it should not be smelled, the team was dispersed, among others, by projects in Ubisoft, and did not keep it together, which suggests that it was not good enough to work.
Despite this, the game received support after launching and DLC, although it may have obtained more if sales were stronger.
In any case, 2 million players are not bad and it seems that Prince of Persia is in a sense in Ubisoft. Whether it covers the continuation of the lost crown is not known, but we would be there.
