Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii Players can dress Majima as Kiryu… If they sign up for email notifications

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii players can dress up fan favorite Goro Majima in the clothes of longtime Yakuza hero Kiryu Kazuma, provided they sign up to receive email notifications from Sega.

The special Dojima Dragon outfit is available to anyone who registers on the Sega platform website until February 25, a few days after Pirate Yakuza arrived in Hawaii on February 21. However, the fine print appears after fans enter their email address.

“By clicking subscribe, I confirm that I would like to receive email updates about products and services, news and event invitations from any Sega group company,” it states. “I can unsubscribe from these emails by using the unsubscribe link in the emails.”

There is no way to check or uncheck this part, which means anyone who signs up for the Dojima Dragon costume will also receive these emails from Sega. It’s also unclear whether opting out of email subscriptions will completely prevent users from receiving the outfit, as the actual download code won’t be sent until Pirate Yakuza launches in Hawaii.

The game is a spin-off sequel to Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, the eighth main entry in the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series (or ninth, including Yakuza 0). The plot follows Majima, who wakes up with amnesia and becomes a pirate, exploring countries such as Hawaii along the way.

A trailer released during October’s Xbox Partner Showcase revealed the first proper look at Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag-style ship combat and the return of beloved character Taiga Saejima, perhaps teasing more of the main series than previously thought.

It will also be slightly longer than previous Yakuza spin-off Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, taking approximately 15 to 18 hours to complete the entire story.
