Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio by Sega, creators of, among others, Like a Dragon / Yakuza franchise, gave the slightest information about what she intends to work on in the future.

We can do a bit of analysis and try to determine what Ryu Ga Gotoku’s next game might be. Like a dragon: infinite wealth released earlier this year, meaning the next main installment in the series is likely still a ways off. It’s more likely the next game will be a spin-off or side story, as we saw last year with Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, which filled the story of the main character Kazuma Kiryu between the events Yakuza 6: The Song of Life AND Yakuza: Like a dragon.
RGG also handles development duties on other Sega titles, including working on Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble AND Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown. However, given that the panel was closely linked to Like a dragon series, it is very likely that the studio’s next game will be part of this series.
With that in mind, we could see a spin-off game starring one of the series’ popular side characters, or potentially a third installment. Precipitate series that takes place in the same continuity as Like a dragon. Hopefully, we won’t have to wait long for more details, as RGG Studio has been notable for its relatively rapid and effective development schedule.
