Good news for Lies of P fans, the upcoming DLC for the game is scheduled to be released in the first quarter of 2025. Additionally, the creator of Neowiz is currently working on a sci-fi survival horror game.
Not much is known about this DLC yet. We have a snowy screenshot shared by the game’s director from earlier this year, but the scope and further details of where we’ll go and what we’ll do remain a mystery. Still, with a Q1 2025 launch, we’re sure to get a more comprehensive look in the near future!
Neowiz’s Studio Round 8 maintains the momentum gained from the widely beloved Lies of P with this pseudo-roadmap for the studio derived from Korean news portal EBN. The spokesperson stated that Studio 8’s next game will be developed in Unreal Engine 5 and will be intended for both PC and consoles.

Round 8 stated that the game would be a “survival horror project set in a sci-fi world” and began hiring staff for the game. When asked by EBN, a spokesperson stated that “it is still too early to reveal the project’s progress,” although he also noted that it is indeed one of the PC and console games that Round 8 is working on.
The current market for sci-fi horror games is an captivating one. We’ve seen some major AAA releases get mixed reception. While the Dead Space remake was beloved by many, it didn’t prove popular enough for EA to justify exploring the series any further. There’s also Callisto Protocol, which was a bold but ultimately unsuccessful attempt to start a recent IP in the AAA sci-fi horror space.
More hope and merit can be found in the independent space. While not exactly the same as the previously mentioned games, Mouthwashing has proven to be extremely popular (too good, it’s fantastic), gaining a huge following on the Internet. You could also point to games like Lethal Company in the same genre, another viral hit, though a far cry from the large AAA hits Round 8 is likely working on.
Eventually, the genre was ripe for greater attention. And since Round 8 has proven to have a huge talent for creating recent IPs, it’s in a great position to do well. We’ll have to sit down and see what comes of this!
