Welcome back to another week of the biggest savings on major video games. Today it’s all about hitting the retail price of FC 25 and getting a PlayStation 5 Slim console for the lowest price I’ve seen in a while. If nothing else, this deal certainly beats the exorbitant scalper prices on eBay for the 30th Anniversary Edition. I’m still mad that I missed it…

In retro news, I’m celebrating my 23rd birthday Pokémon Crystal“higher” version Pokémon Gold AND Silver that was dropped into the coolest, shiny, clear cartridge Game Boy color I ever got. I disconnected the pins on this connector at launch and appreciated some of the novel features, such as greater avatar customization options, refreshed Pokemon icons with introductory battle animations (!!!), and the debut of the Battle Tower. The latter was basically a boss fight against seven level 100 trainers in a row. Why did I go through this hell? To win five protein drinks (read: Poké-‘roids). It’s worth it.

I really enjoy the infrequent moments when the price drops from 89 to a much more reasonable price level. Why? Because that means more players will have the chance to experience the 10/10 sequel to the original masterpiece. Everyone should have this.
