As Gamescom was coming to an end, Digital Extremes was just getting started with the Tenno VIP event, which revealed something no one expected. Right after The Lotus Eaters Prologue, Warframe players can look forward to an update for Koumei & the Five Fates this fall.
The Koumei & the Five Fates update was previously titled “Unannounced Fall 2024”. Warframe update” at TennoCon 2024, but I like this name and the actual context of what’s in the update a lot better. I wasn’t at Gamescom 2024, so I didn’t see what was shown to those at the Tenno VIP event, but Digital Extremes writes in a blog post that fans who were there could have sneakily seen the update.
Let’s take a look at the novel Warframe, Nora’s Mix Vol. 7 and the Volt skin
WarframeThe Koumei & the Five Fates update will release in Fall 2024 and will bring a ton of novel content, some of which will be enjoyed by all players, regardless of what stage of the game they are in. I don’t have a confirmed release date for the update, but I do know that Nora’s Mix Vol. 7 will release on September 3, 2024. This will allow players to unlock a ton of novel gear by completing challenges within the update, all of which are themed around the notorious, grim defender from the Jade Shadows update.
Koumei & the Five Fates Update for Warframewhich will come after the latest Nora’s Mix, will add a novel Deluxe skin for the main Volts. Based on this and the update name, I’m definitely starting to see a theme emerging for the update, and it looks really exhilarating. Of course, that’s exhilarating from a Fashionframe perspective, since we don’t know what the update will add gameplay-wise yet.
Finally, as seen higher up in this article, Tenno VIP attendees also got a better look at Cyte-09, a novel Warframe coming to the game with the Warframe: 1999 update. This is Warframea newfangled version of the Protoframe we’ll be interacting with this winter.
Finally, the developer also released its first update on Line‘S Warframe: The 1999 Anime A quick look behind the scenes and details on Lettie, the reluctant healer of the group who you’ll interact with throughout the game’s campaign update. This is the first official Warframe anime, expanding the franchise’s reach into a completely novel medium. The two images we’ve seen so far look great, and I can’t wait to see what The Line puts together.
