For all those who are crazy about physical media in Final Fantasy, today is a special day. Not so much for eBay scalpers, as they pre-order the out-of-print ESRB version Final Fantasy 7 Remake Interclass for PlayStation 5 have appeared on some retailers’ sites, a much-welcomed reprint.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake debuted on PlayStation 4 just six months before the launch of PS5, making it an exclusive platform for Sony’s hugely popular console. And while it was no surprise that an enhanced version of the game was announced for PS5 the following year, the distinction between free and paid components was quite confusing. To sum up: Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade it included an enhanced version of the original PS5 game on disc, as well as PS5-exclusive DLC with the code Yuffie, while the free upgrade only included PS5 enhancements and no DLC.
Given the already wide release Redo for PS4, retail version Interclass on the just-released PS5 it was much more narrow… which we know because damn, look at those prices, courtesy Price chart.
In the meantime everything was quite normal Interclass release in summer 2021 and early 2023, when the price of a fresh copy increased to an impressive $84. However, after the February premiere of the sequel, the market went from piercing to the level of the explosion at the Mako 1 reactor, Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth. Things have since returned to Midgar, if you think $150 for a sealed copy is reasonable.
But thanks to a reprint courtesy of Square Enix, you can pre-order Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade at Canadian retailers VGP AND PNP games for C$59.99 ($41.75), with an estimated delivery date of February 2025. If you’d rather wait for a US-based seller, user Resetera This is Jawmuncher“It recently showed up on Amazon for a second, so it’s possible this could be a large-scale reprint that’s happening at other retailers as well.”
