It’s especially early, but it looks like Sony’s various global PS5 price promotions will make a splash this Black Friday.

This is confirmed by sales data from Spain in the week of November 17-23, the company sold 41,000 units in the country.

For comparison, the Switch 2 managed 10,000 units and the Xbox Series X|S managed just 700 units. Spain has historically been a very forceful territory for PlayStation, but that’s still a huge difference.

Now it’s worth noting that Sony has reduced the price of the PS5 across Europe by 100 euros and also had some bundles including Fortnite and EA Sports FC 26.

While this is data from one relatively tiny market, it shows how aggressive the company is this holiday season. Remember that promotions are valid worldwide before the holidays.

The company will be hoping to finally migrate players over from PS4 and reach the all-important milestone of 100 million units. At last count, right as of September 30, 84.2 million units had been sold.
