PlayStation Starswhich is basically a up-to-date version of PlayStation Rewards, a free loyalty program that was first launched in 2022 on the PlayStation appThe program essentially lets users earn points by purchasing games and completing monthly in-game goals. Said points can be redeemed in the app for trinkets and goodies, like digital collectibles or wallet funds that can be used to buy even more PlayStation games.

While Sony has yet to provide a reason for the PlayStation Stars outage or why it took over a month to fix, it appears the company has kept its promise to keep players using the service. Collect points and collectibles while the program was unavailable.
