iPad Prices Drop to Lowest Ever for Amazon Prime Day 2024

Published:

Amazon Prime Day 2024 is bringing down several Apple iPad models by up to 30%. The discounts include the 6th-generation iPad Air with the M2 chip and the 7th-generation iPad Pro with the M4 chip, which were released earlier this year. All of these products are genuine, boxed Apple products that come with a full one-year warranty and AppleCare eligibility. These are the lowest prices we’ve seen on the best iPad models so far in 2024, and you’ll likely have to wait until Black Friday to find a deal.

TL;DR: Here are the best iPad deals for Prime Day

Apple iPad 10.9″ 10th Generation for $299.99

Apple iPad 10th generation

For most people, this is the iPad you should buy. The 10th-generation iPad has significant improvements over its predecessor. For starters, the new iPad has a thinner bezel, so it looks less bulky, and it fits a larger display (10.9 inches versus 10.2 inches) into the same chassis. It also has a faster A14 Bionic chip (compared to the A13 in the 9th generation), which translates to a 20% increase in CPU performance and a 10% increase in GPU performance. It’s now compatible with Apple’s latest Magic Folio keyboard, turning it into a mini laptop for better workflow (and one of the best iPads for college students). Other welcome features include a switch to a universal USB Type-C port, a better camera, and updated Wi-Fi 6. That’s a lot of improvements for just a $50 premium.

Apple iPad 9th generation for $249

In short, if you want the iPad experience at the lowest possible price, this is the best iPad model you can buy. It’s $50 cheaper than the newer 10th-generation model. While the new iPad does have a few improvements over that model, depending on your needs, they may not be worth the extra cost.

Apple iPad Mini 6th Generation for $379.99

The iPad Mini may be the smallest tablet of them all, but that doesn’t mean it’s limited in any way. Despite being released in 2021, the iPad Mini has a more powerful A15 Bionic processor than the 10th-generation iPad. Despite its small form factor, the iPad Mini still manages to pack a spacious 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display with True Tone and Wide Color technology. It has a USB Type-C charging port and supports the Apple Pencil 2 for a better workflow. If you’re looking for the most pocketable iPad, this is your pick.

Apple’s iPad Air was refreshed earlier this year. It now comes in two sizes – 11″ and 13″ – and has a more powerful M2 chip, the same one found in the previous-generation iPad Pro. Whichever size you choose, you get a very nice display, better than the one in the standard iPad, as it supports both True Tone and P3 wide color. Interestingly, the Air is no longer the lightest and thinnest iPad… the new iPad Pro now claims that title.

New for 2024 is the iPad Pro, Apple’s first device to feature the M4 chip. It’s significantly more powerful than the previous-generation models, but an equally significant upgrade is the display. Both the 11-inch and 13-inch models feature a tandem OLED display that looks absolutely stunning. This OLED display is incredibly bright, significantly brighter than the OLED technology found in today’s TVs and monitors. Unfortunately, the side effect of these significant improvements is a significant price increase. Fortunately, Prime Day is definitely the best time to drop the price to a more reasonable level.
