Game developer Insomniac confirmed that the studio has no plans to create story DLC for the action-adventure game for 2023 Spider-Man 2probably disappointing many fans who were hoping for more content.
On October 18, Insomniac and Sony announced this Spider-Man 2 was released on PC in Januaryjust 15 months after its release exclusively on PlayStation 5 to rave reviews. This is one of the fastest changes we’ve seen for a PlayStation exclusive title making its way to PC, and seems to indicate that Sony is fully committed to making its hit games available on Steam. But for fans who are hoping that today’s news regarding the PC port will accompany the reveal of the story DLC Spider-Man 2well, the bad news: it’s not happening.
In a post on the official PlayStation blog announcing Spider-Man 2PC port and what fans can expect, Insomanic senior community manager Aaron Jason Espinoza confirmed that the studio is not working on or planning any further story DLC Spider-Man 2 on PC or PS5.
“Though we have no plans for any additional story content Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, “We are thrilled to be able to bring all of our previously released content to the PC version post-launch, including New Game+, new costumes and color variants, Photo Mode features, and more,” Espinoza said.
What fans were hoping for Spider-Man 2 DLC after the first Insomniac Spider-Man the game received three paid DLC episodes, which made up the add-on known as The city that never sleeps. HoweverMiles Morales, independent Spider-Man a spin-off game released in 2020, it never received DLC. Still, fans hoped and even wondered if they would get it more Venom content. Today’s news confirms that Insomniac is leaving Spider-Man 2. The studio is working on, among others: previously confirmed Wolverine game as well unannounced X-Men gamewhat we found out through malicious hack in delayed 2023. AND Spider-Man 3 apparently it’s happening too.
