Just when the year is coming to an end and you thought you’ve seen everything the gaming world has to offer, along comes the Indie Live Expo, where a massive curved ball in the shape of an indie game catches your eye. The broadcast, which will take place on Saturday, November 29, will showcase over 100 different indie games, taking us from behind schedule 2025 to what we can expect from the 2026 release schedule, while also celebrating the best indie games released this year.
Indie Live Expo has been taking place since 2020 and is the most significant digital indie event in Japan. The live digital showcase, which has amassed over 100 million total views since its 2020 debut, will shine a spotlight on dozens of independent artists this Saturday, November 29, 2025. The show will be available to watch live at 1:00 a.m. PST / 4:00 a.m. ET / 6:00 p.m. JST on YouTube Live, Twitch, X Live, Niconico, Bilibili and Steam.
Viewers can expect over 100 announcements, including reveals of never-before-seen projects and updates on fan-favorite titles coming to the horizon. Nine of this year’s standout games will then be recognized at the INDIE Live Expo awards ceremony, with winners selected by gaming industry titans including Shuhei Yoshida (former head of Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Indie Initiative), Keiichiro Toyama (creator of “Silent Hill” and “SIREN”), CEO of Bokeh Game Studio (creators of “Slitterhead”) and many others.
English MC trio Kaori Horiuchi, J-mon and HighGai will return to host the signature Indie Live Expo segments, while the INDIE Waves segment will feature rapid content updates, showcasing dozens of games both in development and currently available.
Indie Live Expo will take place on Saturday, November 29, 2025, starting at 1:00 a.m. PST / 4:00 a.m. EST / 6:00 p.m. JST and will be streamed live in English on YouTube Live, Twitch, X Live, Niconico, Bilibili and Steam.
