- A recent mission called Brave Cavaler of the Dwarven Mines is now available
- For retro fans, a recent CRT filter will be introduced
- There are also two recent crystal packs available that significantly augment the value
A few weeks ago, Eterspire won the People’s Choice Award at EVA 2025, which was a nice nod to the continued growth of this indie MMO. And with December just around the corner, Stonehollow Workshop is releasing another update that may seem miniature on paper, but is surprisingly fun in practice.
Leading the pack is a recent quest called the Brave Caver of the Dwarveless Mines, which sends you underground with the dwarf Barbado as he tries to explore the forgotten tunnels beneath Old Rautala. This is one of those cozy, slightly silly side stories that Eterspire usually does quite well. If you’ve been waiting for an excuse to jump back in, following Barbado into the shadowy should be an effortless sell.
The update also introduces a CRT filter, which is a cold addition for anyone who enjoys adventures with a retro tint. Turn it on and the whole world takes on the supple, wavering glow you get from an senior screen. This isn’t necessary at all, but it adds a cozy, nostalgic atmosphere that strangely works with the look of Eterspire.
In addition, the store will receive two larger crystal packages. They’re exorbitant, but the bonuses are huge – the $99.99 option goes up to 7,500 crystals, and the $199.99 option goes up to 20,000. This is clearly aimed at players who like to collect cosmetics or like to have a gigantic stockpile ready for future drops.
The patch also brings a number of stability and security improvements, including stronger anti-cheat protections and fewer crash issues. Nothing dramatic, but the kind of behind-the-scenes improvements that make everything feel smoother once you’re playing.
