Warning! The following contains spoilers for Black Myth: Wukong.

If you’re playing Black Myth: Wukong right now, you’re familiar with action RPG boss fights. The game is full of them, and some are quite challenging. But what if you could get a helping hand from one boss while fighting another?

That’s exactly what’s possible in Black Myth: Wukong, thanks to a super chilly secret IGN uncovered while playing this week. It turns out you can summon a hidden boss in Chapter 2 to defeat the required boss — if you find a few items first.

The boss fight in question is the Stone Vanguard, which is located in the Fright Cliff area. You may have already encountered and even defeated this boss. But did you notice the immense boulder to the left as you entered the arena?

Ready to fight?

This rock is actually the dormant Shigandang Yaoguai King Boss, sealed away with six divinity items you can exploit to free him. IGN has a guide, How to Beat Stone Vanguard with Another Boss, that will tell you everything you need to know to summon Shigandang and make him do your filthy work for you.

Below is a chilly Black Myth Wukong Yaoguai King Boss fight that you can watch from a secure distance. Ultimately, Shigandang defeats the Stone Vanguard, although you have to step in and defeat Shigandang yourself. Luckily, the brave Stone Vanguard took some health from the much stronger Shigandang during the fight. Check it out in the video below:

It’s a truly insane way to defeat a boss without lifting a finger, and in return you get points and all the items as if you had defeated the Stone Vanguard yourself.

Speaking of Black Myth: Wukong bosses, IGN this week reported on how one optional boss encountered very early in the game absolutely destroys players. And while you’re here, IGN has a ton of other Black Myth: Wukong guides to support you out, including Basic tips and tricks, Things Black Myth: Wukong Doesn’t Tell Youand ours Boss List and Guides.

In the meantime, developer Game Science has apologized for any technical and performance issues players have encountered since the record-breaking launch of Black Myth: Wukong earlier this week. Promised fixes will be released soon.

IGN Black Myth: Wukong Review returned a rating of 8/10. We said: “Despite some frustrating technical issues, Black Myth: Wukong is a great action game with fantastic combat, exciting bosses, tantalizing secrets, and a beautiful world.”

This week, IGN verified an email sent by the Black Myth: Wukong marketing team, in which content creators who had been granted a Steam key were informed that they could not post “feminist propaganda” or exploit so-called “trigger words” like COVID-19 in their content.

Chinese studio Game Science has not responded yet Previous IGN report a compilation of numerous sexist comments that studio founders and other developers have made over the last decade.
