Battlefield 6 players are exchanging theories about Easter Eggs and future updates after a fan discovered a mysterious hidden room at the shooting range.
Speculation about EA and Battlefield Studios’ secret room began after a Reddit user Mobile_Cyberdemon_as shared the video their character entering a previously undiscovered, hidden area. The unlit space is hidden behind a tight weapons testing room, with only a sealed door – with a red sign saying “keep door closed” – hinting at its existence.
After several minutes of trying (and a lot of awkward crouching) on PlayStation 5, we were able to recreate the moment seen in the clip and confirm that the hidden room in Battlefield 6 exists. We can also confirm that this mysterious hideout is unfortunately quite dull, as it only contains little more than a workbench and an empty weapon rack.
It’s uncomplicated to see areas like this and assume they’re just unfinished footage left on the cutting room floor, but fans have a different idea.
Battlefield 6 launched just a few weeks ago, so there’s no telling what BF Studios might have planned for this room by sneaking it behind the shooting range. However, some details gave players more than enough ammunition to start creating theories about what the hidden room was and what it could have been.
“Judging by the gate, there is a car hangar in the works” – one fan theory. “I hope they eventually add a real shooting range and not just one room.”
Other Battlefield 6 fans too proposed theories related to the extension of fire rangehoping that if the hidden room is not an official vehicle testing site, it may become so in the future. This is an expansion that the community has been interested in for some time, as players have spent the weeks since launch using the prized helicopters and jet spawns while learning how to leave the ground.
Other popular theory suggests the room could have served as a slightly smaller firing range upgrade that would allow players to quickly experiment with different weapons and attachments. Even the commentators He toyed with the idea of moving the flashlight to a hidden room in search of Battlefield Easter eggs that BF Studios may have secretly placed.
Many of the ideas behind Battlefield 6’s mystery come from desires that players would like to fulfill. The firing range mystery could certainly be an Easter egg, an unfinished feature, or a future content update, but it’s also possible that players were looking at this room long before Mobile_Cyberdemon_as made the discovery.
“You can see this striped background on the weapon customization screen” – one goes a popular fan theory. “I think that’s why the range loads so quickly, because you’re actually on it the whole time.”
“I’m assuming that when you’re in the menu, you’re actually in that room, with your view locked to the UI, and various walls or areas serving as backgrounds for certain screens in the menu system” – another added the player.
