The headset I employ every day and currently sits right next to me on my desk got a great little discount for Black Friday.
Astro A50 X is currently on sale just £319.99 (was £359) at Amazon. The same deal, which cuts the price by £40, is also available from a number of other retailers.
This is one of the lowest prices I’ve ever seen for this headset, beaten only by 99p with a discount to £319 in September and on one bizarre day in May when the price was £299.17 for a few hours – although the latter the discount was very low lived and I doubt many people managed to secure it at this price.
Big Black Friday savings on Astro A50 X
In my Astro A50 X review, I gave this headset four out of five stars, praising its amazing sound quality and support for advanced features like Dolby Atmos. It is also lightweight, elastic and very comfortable to wear thanks to its foldable microphone that ensures clear online communication.
Combine this with excellent onboard controls and a solid charging dock, and you have one of the best wireless gaming headsets on the market.
However, one of my favorite things about the Astro A50 X is how well it works with multiple systems. I have a monitor connected to my PS5, Xbox Series S, and PC, and the Astro A50 X dock makes switching between them a breeze. If you have a similar setup, I can’t recommend it enough.
My only real complaint is the installation process, which I found very complicated. Lots of cables are required, which can be quite overwhelming. Fortunately, you’ll probably only have to do this once when you take the headset out of the box, so it won’t really hinder your long-term employ of the headset.
