I owe you an apology, I didn’t know your game.

Silent Whisper wasn’t as popular as other offerings at this year’s Festival of the Lost, but this arc is still one of the Destiny 2hidden gems – especially with a divine roll.

At first glance, we overlooked Hushed Whisper, focusing instead on Gunburn, another fresh addition to Festival of the Lost and the rebooted Arcane Embrace. But thanks to the specific synergy between two of these benefits, we’re joyful to keep one copy of it in our vaults.

This weapon works as a legendary bow (and one of two Strand-related bows) because it doesn’t get a bonus against enemies from the Wish Keeper exotic. Bows are also not in the best place in the meta, but it’s still worth keeping a copy of this in your vault.

Here are our rolls for the Silent Whisper god, based on bonus data d2foundry.gg.

The Hushed Whisper PvE God is coming to Destiny 2

  • String: Polymer stringElastic string or Natural string.
  • Arrow: Simple fluting, Fiberglass arrow shaft or spiral fletching.
  • First advantage: TearPiece or Successful warm-up.
  • Second advantage: Archer’s GambitExplosive head or chick.

Synergy between Tear AND Archer’s Gambit that’s what gives Hushed Whisper its flavor, at least in our experience, and that’s why it’s our bread and butter. If your goal is more hard contentArcher’s Gambit lets you line up shots quickly with a draw time bonus, and Tear cuts through enemies in the area of effect on a precision kill. Gambit is also kill-free, so you can run it with little setup.

If you’re having trouble taking a shot without aiming down the sights, that’s you can ADS line up the arrow and release the aiming button just before releasing it into the airso it still counts as a hip shot.

This isn’t the only option for Hushed Whisper though, with several tricks available to complement your playstyle. Melee-focused players can take advantage of this Collective fight as a second advantage and Thread-based builds can also benefit from Hatchling as a second advantage.

In this case, the result of the god roll depends on what you would most like to combine it with. Tear and Slice are good options, especially for more challenging content, but there’s another advantage here that can shine, as shown below.

If you’re taking your fresh Hushed Whisper for a spin in an easier activityHowever, it is worth considering Successful warm-up in the third column above the Tear. This provides a constant draw time buff that triggers on kill (which is easier to achieve with lower power deltas) and opens up room for a damage perk like Explosive headin the fourth column. A precision instrument is a bit hit and miss: it provides significant benefits, but is hard to keep in the stack.

For parts, we recommend focusing on accuracy and drawing time. The former generally works well, and the latter helps you shoot faster before you launch your skills. In terms of strings, Polymer increases both accuracy and draw time, while Flexible grants a longer draw time with an accuracy penalty, and Natural does not affect draw speed but boosts other stats.

Hushed Whisper may drop from the Festival of the Lost activity. Destiny 2the classic Halloween-themed event will run until November 11 (after Bungie gave it an extra week due to bugs). Can drop from Haunted Altars of Sorrow (unless damaged), PvP-focused Red Rum, and any Portal activity that has a FOTL engram as the buff drops.

Once the spooky celebration is over, your next chance to obtain this bow will likely be in 2026. The good news is that the Call to Arms event starts right after FOTL, so at least you’ll have more shiny fresh weapons to chase – including the Submersion ponderous crossbow, which counts as a bow and will be able to be focused for the first time.
