How to unlock all weapons in Hades 2

WeaponOr Night armsare the main instruments of Melinoë’s destruction Hades 2. While boons, heirlooms, and arcana cards can significantly change your build, weapons are the means by which you deal damage.

Each weapon is significantly different from the others. Some require a close-up approach; others allow you to keep your distance. You can change the way they work by finding them Daedalus’ hammers in the middle of their runs. (When selecting the room you want to enter, look for the hammer-shaped icon.)

Here’s the list all weapons in Hades 2and detailed information on how to unlock them and what they are best for.

Hades 2 contains six weapons and, according to Supergiant, that’s the entire planned lineup Hades 2activation. Here is the list of Nocturnal Arms, unlock requirements, and a detailed description of each.

Every weapon in Hades 2 has a basic attack (X on Steam device or controller input) and a special attack (Y on Steam device or controller input). You can hold each input for a few seconds to perform the “Omega” version of this move, which costs some magic but is more powerful overall.

The Witch’s Staff (Descura) it’s the weapon you start with and the easiest to utilize. His attack is as plain as possible, the sort of standard melee combo you’ll find in many isometric action games of this type. Meanwhile, his specialty is a long-range projectile – and if you charge him for the Omega move, this projectile will explode on impact.

The Sister Blades (Lim and Oros) they are the most agile of the Night Weapons, faster than the others, although they deal much less damage. But Omega’s version of the basic attack is one of the best moves in the game: it allows you to teleport behind an adjacent enemy.

The Umbral Flames (Ygnium Flames) are, honestly, really demanding to understand. You can either shoot magical fireballs or, for a special, surround yourself with magical fireballs. (We haven’t had much success with the Flames of Umbria, perhaps because we haven’t figured out how best to utilize them yet.)

The Moonstone Ax (Zorefet) is a lumbering monstrosity with tardy but high-damaging attacks. While it is extremely effective at clearing rooms of enemies, it is less effective against bosses, which typically require both keeping your distance and moving quickly.

The Silver Skull (Rebirth) is the most unique weapon in Hades 2 at the moment. You have three skulls that you can utilize as ammunition for a powerful main attack. When you shoot the skull, it will stay on the ground until you pick it up. Your specialty is a dash that does some damage, but is especially great for retrieving ammo from your skull.

The Black cloak (Xinth) resembles Iron Man’s exoskeleton with built-in boxing gloves. Your standard attack is a punch that can be charged for blocking with the Omega move. The Special version fires a series of rockets, but the Omega version creates homing rockets that only fly towards targets painted with a reticle.

You unlock up-to-date weapons in Hades 2 in the staging room before you go on your run. Interact with the giant patch of featherlight in the center of the room to bring up a menu with all available weapons.

As you can see in the chart above, most Night Weapons are unlocked with silverbut will need other resources – speedway, glassrock (or G Rock), AND brown — to get every weapon.

To get silver, you must first unlock it Crescent’s Choicewhich costs one ash.

Once unlocked, equip the Crescent before heading out for a run (you can only have one tool equipped at a time) and look out for mounds of silvery crescents. Each mound provides three silver. If you unlock Reagent detection spell (it costs money one molar flower), the game will automatically show your silver reserves when you clear the room of enemies.

Additionally, if you come across Narcissus in the oceanhe has the chance to offer you six silver rewards as part of one of his rotating rewards. But given the random nature, it would be better to choose Crescent Pick.

As regards slagyou’ll get one every time you defeat Hecate, the first boss. In other words, you’ll have to beat her three times before you can unlock the Flames of Umbria.

For the Silver Skull, glassrock (or G rock) is located in the Field of Mourning region. As with silver, the Reagent Sensing incantation will point you directly towards any mounds of glass rock.

Also for the Silver Skull, brown is located in the city of Ephyra, which can only be reached after reaching the surface. Once you’re at the top, the Reagent Sensing incantation will point you to nearby mounds of bronze. This is quite a complicated process though, so you may want to check out our guides on how to get Bronze and Hill (the resources you need to cast the spell that will allow you to survive on the surface).

To get a black coat you need to find adamantwhich is located in the Mount Olympus region. Apart from the final boss (which is currently unavailable in Early Access), this is the last region in the Surface Path. As usual, when you’re up there, do the Detect Reagents incantation and you’ll find black and blue shiny rocks in the snow. Mine it with the Crescent Moon and take it with you to camp to craft the Black Cloak.

Supergiant claims that with the addition of Blackcloak in the game’s roadmap and patch notes the Night Weapons set is now completewhich means we won’t be getting any more weapons in any other major game update.

While it’s possible that the studio will add surprise weapons or additional weapon aspects (that change how the weapon works) in a future update or even after version 1.0, this is purely speculation. However, Hades 2 will be in early access until at least early 2025, and at the time of writing there are still at least two major updates left, so it’s possible that things will change and Supergiant could announce more tools of destruction for you to utilize against the enemies of Olympus.
