How to find the Holy Wounds puzzle
Once Indy and Father Antonio have solved the mystery of the Strange Inscriptions, you will need to go to the Tower of Nicholas the Fifth, just across the street.
When you reach the tower, head into the room on the west side of the tower. As you approach the altar, take a photo of the Strange Mural.
Pour some wine into a bowl and your photo wallpaper will become a castle. Interact with it and rotate it until the door opens.
On the other side of the Underworld Gate you will find a deteriorating staircase. Before you go anywhere, take a candle from the altar so you can see what you are doing (The Underworld is murky).
If you go up you can find it Parade helmet – Hi The discovery of Europe’s lost artifacts. Once you’ve done that, go down the stairs.
Light the cauldrons and torches along the way and follow the only possible path. You’ll eventually get to The Riddle of the Holy Wounds.
How to solve the Holy Wounds puzzle
When you approach the puzzle, take a photo of it and then pour the wine into the bowl. There will be five levers corresponding to Jesus’ hands, side and feet – the titular holy wounds.
To the left and right of the puzzle there are five more murals and pools to interact with. They give you numbers that you need to set various levers to.
We’ll start by heading left.
Just to the left of the Sacred Wounds puzzle you will find the Holy Chalice mural.
When you get there, there will be an vintage bust sitting on a bowl. Pick it up and move it aside.
Take a photo of the mural and notice the part of the body surrounded by a halo – Jesus’ left hand (your right).
When you’re ready, pour the wine into a bowl. This will reveal the number (Roman numeral) – 2.
Body of Christ (right hand)
Continue left and through the gate. When you pass under the gate, it will close behind you. Okay – there is another way.
Take a photo and pour wine into a bowl to get the next number – 2.
To the left of the mural you will find a torch next to the door. Light it from the fire near the mural, then go through the door.
Around the corner you’ll find another mural. Before you do anything with it, though, grab one of the ponderous candlesticks on the ground on the left and operate it to break it frail wall. This is your way back to the main room.
Take a photo of the mural (statue) and do the wine trick again to get another number – 3.
Walking on water (right foot)
Back in the main room, look to the right of the Sacred Wounds puzzle. This mural does not require any additional steps. Take a photo and pour wine to get another one 3.
Anointing of Jesus (left foot)
There’s another mural on the right, but there’s a gate in its way. Fortunately, there is a crack in the wall right next to it. Go through it and turn left to find a chain that opens the gate (or ignore it and go back through the gap).
Solving the Holy Wounds puzzle
Back to the Sacred Wounds puzzle, move the levers to match the numbers you found. This will open up-to-date doors and give you purpose find the giant warrior’s tomb.
