How to solve the Fountain of Confession puzzle in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

Published:

You will reach Fountain of Confession IN Indiana Jones and the Great Circle as you progress through the adventure “The Stolen Mummy of the Cat”. Once you reach the fountain, you will have to solve a puzzle to open the secret door, and then solve more puzzles to get inside.

The first puzzle concerns three dragon statues near the Confession Fountain itself. Once you’ve figured this out, you’ll need to solve the baptism-themed statue puzzle. Finally, we have a puzzle with rotating rings inspired by the Ark of Trzanów.

Our Indiana Jones and the Great Circle the guide will show you how to solve the Fountain of Confession puzzle, the baptism statue puzzle and the Ark of the Reeds puzzle.

How to solve the fountain puzzle

After solving the Holy Wounds puzzle and examining the Tomb of the Giant Warrior, you will find a parchment suggesting that there is a secret entrance at the Fountain of Confession in the Vatican.

When you get there, take a photo of the dragon statue in the center of the fountain, then take a photo of the inscriptions on the left and right. Indy translates it as saying “make the dragons face each other.” Now you just need to find the dragons.

Head to the left side of the fountain to find a chest on the ground. Open it to find it Key to the fountain gate and employ it on the gate on the right.

Go up to the first landing above you with the whip. Turn around and hit the beam. Hold the left trigger and step on Indy’s whip a little, then move to the window.

You will land on top of the scaffolding and you will be able to see the two dragons mentioned in the signs. But ignore them for now.

Instead, turn right and look down along the scaffolding. Below you you will see an item. Go down to find it Dragon Claw. At this point Gina will appear.

When Gina surprised Indy, he broke several boards on the scaffolding. Now you can climb outside. Do this and climb up the first dragon statue – the one on the left side of the fountain.

At the front, equip the Dragon Claw and stick it into the statue. Turn it and a handle will appear. Use the handle to rotate the entire statue so it faces the other dragon statue on the other side.

Use the mast to get to the second dragon. Repeat the process – rotate the claw, then employ the handle to rotate the statue – so the dragon faces the other.

Drop back down to the ground and jump into the fountain. Hit the handle of the dragon statue there and pull it to open the secret door.

Once you have finished rotating the fountain, a recent handle will appear on the outside. Jump down and turn it around with Gina.

This will bring a recent baptism puzzle to the fore.

To solve it, you need to bring water from the right side to spray the statue on the left side. The steps are as follows:

  • Move left statue (baptist?) to Normal
  • Whip pull the ring pour water
  • Move right statue (baptist?) to left

When you move the right statue, it will rotate and then pour out water.

Once the puzzle is complete, the handle will reappear outside the fountain. Jump down and rotate it again.

How to solve the Ark of the Rushes puzzle

The second puzzle involves a boat – The Ark of the Rushes – and you need to turn a few rings to make the path clear for the boat.

The tricky part is the wooden blocks that will slide and lock the rings together. To solve this:

  • Spin the outermost ring three times in a counterclockwise direction (to the left)
  • Spin the middle ring once clockwise (to the right)
  • Spin the innermost ring twice in any direction.

Once the puzzle has rotated back to the starting point, all that’s left to do is push the remaining statue straight forward. Once it locks into place, a staircase leading to the Underworld will appear.
