How to Play Warhammer 40K: Space Marines 2 Solo Operations

Published:

There are three basic modes Warhammer 40K: Space Marines 2It’s basic to tell whether you can play the campaign or PvP solo, but Operations falls somewhere in the middle and has a few caveats, depending on what you’re trying to do.

Operations are repeatable missions in Warhammer 40K: Space Marines 2 that flesh out the campaign story. You play as Space Marines who work with protagonist Titus, completing tasks that allow him to fight his way through the Tyranid forces. However, while they do have online functionality, they are not online-only content. I still wouldn’t recommend playing them solo or offline, and I’ve explained why below.

Play Warhammer 40K: Space Marines 2 Solo Operation mode, you must launch the game while connected to the internet to avoid the infinite loading screen error. Then you must disconnect from the internet while the game is still running to go offline. If you launch the Operation from Battle Barge now, it will be a solo experience.

No, I do not recommend playing Warhammer 40K: Space Marines 2 Solo Operations mode. The reason for this is that progress is not saved if you play Operations offline. You earn XP for your account and currency for fresh Operations and Eternal War cosmetics when you play online, and playing without earning any of that feels pointless.

However, Operations are designed to be fun and replayable, so if you have no choice but to play offline, then you should do so. It will give you a chance to practice all the classes and go into the online version of the game with a ton of skills up your sleeve.

After all, these missions are there to flesh out the campaign story and show what other characters have been up to while you’re mowing down the Empire’s enemies. For example, have you ever wondered what it would be like to lithe a fire so gigantic that it consumed a horde of Tyranids about to attack a planet? Or what it would be like to drive a Battle Barge into a colossal power source?

These are Warhammer 40K fantasies of power that you can experience when playing Operations mode, and as a fan of that universe I can’t recommend it enough because every inch of story and lore is so immersive.
