Unfortunately, there is no official GTA V for mobile port, at least not yet, but our guide will show you some cheeky ways to play the contemporary Rockstar classic wherever you are.

Is there a mobile port of GTA V?
A GTA V mobile port currently does not existbut it is possible that Rockstar Games will create a port in the future. Games like Death Stranding are having their time to shine on mobile hardware. However, for now, it doesn’t look like GTA V will be getting an official mobile port anytime soon as Rockstar Games is busy developing GTA 6.
Though, If you own GTA V on Steam, you can play GTA V using Steam Link to access it on your mobile device. You can watch the video and written instructions below to learn how to do it, courtesy of YouTuber “Android 9 Hacks.”
Is there a mobile APK of GTA V?
No, there is no official GTA V mobile APK because Rockstar Games has never released the game officially for iOS or Android devices. Although some websites may claim that there is an APK file that you can download to play GTA V on your mobile phone, it is highly likely that it is a malicious APK file that can compromise your phone. We recommend avoiding them at all costs and waiting for Rockstar Games to potentially release an official mobile version of the game.
Additionally, it is common for some gamers to exploit an emulator on an Android tablet to run operating systems such as Windows, but this may prove unstable and often illegal if the software and game have not been purchased. Again, we don’t recommend this.
Can I play GTA V on my phone?
The safest way to play GTA V on mobile devices is using Steam Link. This works on both Android and iOS devices, but requires a copy of GTA V on Steam to be installed on your computer. You’ll also need to download the official Steam Link app on your mobile device. Despite what some game sellers in shady corners of the Internet may claim, there is no official port of GTA V for mobile devices, so don’t be fooled, no matter how tempting the price may be.
The good news is that you don’t need one of the best gaming phones. In fact, most mid-range and higher-range mobile phones can run GTA V using this method without any technical problems. Remember that for the game to run smoothly on your phone, you need a brisk and stable internet connection with a low ping, otherwise you will have quite earnest lag problems.
Of course, before you buy a copy of GTA V on Steam, you should make sure your computer can handle it. Check GTA V System Requirements and check if your computer can run it PC gaming benchmark. Then, after purchasing and installing GTA V on Steam, you need to create a GTA profile and run the game on your computer.
Once you have it all set up, simply put follow these steps to play GTA V on mobile:
- Download the Steam Link app on Google Play or App Store
- Open the Steam client on your computer and the Steam Link app on your phone
- In the Steam client for PC, go to the “Steam” tab and click “Settings”
- In the settings window, go to “Remote Play” and check the “Enable Remote Play” checkbox.
- Tap the “pair Steam link” button below the device list
- The Steam Link app on your phone should search for your computer and then enter your four-digit PIN
- Enter your PIN in the “Authorize Device” text box that appears in the Steam client on your PC and press “OK.”
- Then your device name should appear in the Steam Remote Play window
- Wait for the Steam Link app to test your network connection, then press “OK”
- Press the “start game” button to access your Steam library on your phone
- Launch GTA V
And there you go! We also recommend using a controller when playing GTA V on a mobile device, as touchscreen controls can be a bit fiddly.
