The mystical Arlathan Forest in Dragon Age: Veilguard is home to all kinds of spirits, age-old artifacts, and treasures. As Rook and his party explore the deepest reaches of the dense forest, they come across a giant chest between the Forest Swamps and the Riparian Glades.
The only problem is that the chest is stuck on an island in the middle of a enormous pond, and Rook doesn’t like swimming.
To solve the puzzle and reach the chest, Rook will need to redirect the magic rays placed around the clearings and defeat the guards haunting the treasure chest, so here’s what you need to do.
How to get to the Forest Mire/Waterfront Glades chest in Dragon Age: Veilguard
Although the chest appears in the area marked Forest Mire in the Forest, most of the puzzles you need to solve are located in the Waterfront Glades area around its island.
While facing the box, move to the right and employ Harding’s power to lift the stone in front of you. Remember that Rook can employ his companion’s powers even after he returns to the Lighthouse, using the magic of the Lyrium dagger.
Then go up to the next level and from the second rock build a bridge across the stream, then turn around and pull out the third rock below you to complete the basic build.

Look below you and you will see a magic beam shining into the wall. Jump down on it and direct it to the container on the wall in front of it.

Now return to the higher beam and point it towards the triangular container below.

On the other side of the pond surrounding the chest, you will find a clearing with three winged statues.
Placed in nearby crates, you should find a floating mechanism.

Place it in a triangular container above the water, then direct the beam to hit the other triangular container.
Finally, on the north side of the clearings, look for an iron gate next to the lantern.

Pull the lever and then walk across the narrow plank to the other side.

Pick up the mechanism and place it next to the beam to power the final laser. Shine the airy into the last container, then return to the front of the clearings.
For the final test, you will have to defeat the Secret Keeper boss who guards the chest.

Focus on using your companions’ skills and powers against them, as they can block most of your regular attacks with their innate shield.
Then, when you are victorious, claim your reward. For me, using the Mage class, it was an exceptionally good unique airy helmet that turned every defeated enemy into a magical burst of necrotic damage, as well as 2 springs of the scarce material, Royal Elven Root.
