How to Open the Door in Stagnant Manufactory – Remnant 2: The Dark Horizon

When you first approach the immense steel doors in Stagnant Manufactory, you will likely encounter four patrolling mechs just outside them. As with most enemies in Remainder 2destroying them is a completely viable way to remove them from sight, but it can be problematic in getting that particular door open.

When you first find this door, it will already be open (or should be if you press the control button above the room), but you need to see it to understand what’s actually going on. The open door is a reward for solving a not-so-obvious puzzle right behind it, which is getting to the door without being noticed by the mechs.

If you turn on the mechs or even get spotted by them, the doors will close faster and you’ll have to reload the area to try again. Trick is the name of the game here, and if you choose not to adopt this playstyle, you will not reach the door when it is open. Luckily, I have some tips to assist you.

Use Hunter Focus

The area around the door is shrouded in chunky fog, making it quite tough to spot the patrolling mechs. Hunter’s Focus is an extremely helpful ability that will allow you to see mechs through walls and fog while the ability is lively. If you can, put your points into Duration so that it stays lively longer. While it is lively, plan your routes carefully, observing the routes the mechs take. There are four in total, and none of them will stray from their patrol markings.

Avoid hiding places

There is a hole you can hide in once you enter the room, which may seem like a great place to gather your supplies while you check out where the mechs are. However, I would recommend avoiding taking cover there, as while it offers you solace, it won’t be very useful for avoiding the overlapping routes the mechs take. You’ll find yourself “stuck”, waiting for the briefest moment to make a move, only to be discovered in the final hour.

Watch out for red lights

Due to the destitute visibility in the room, it will be tough to see the mechs patrolling there when Hunter’s Focus is inactive. Therefore, I recommend stopping looking for mechs in this scenario and looking for them red headlights Instead. These red lights shine brightly through the obscuring fog and will immediately warn you when a moss is near, while also letting you know which way it’s looking.

Let your ally provide you with supervision

The door control center is located just above it, just before you enter the elevator to go down to the room. There is a immense window there that another player can look through and apply to get helpful information about where the mechs are moving. Playing with a friend makes solving this stealth puzzle much easier because of this. However, it is crucial to note that there are blind spots that the observing player cannot see from the control center.

Allows you to automatically reload your weapon upon successfully activating Perfect Dodge, which is great for weapon-oriented builds that are always in the chunky of the action. If you don’t know, Perfect Dodge is a dodge that effectively dodges an attack, rather than just repositioning you. Rolling “through” an attack using dodge iframes is considered Perfect Dodge and activates that ring’s reload effect.
