Putting “fun” in “mushroom.”

WarframesThe Vallis Undermind update introduced Nightcap, a up-to-date face (well, up-to-date metal plate, really) in post-Narmer Fortuna. Maximizing Reputation with the Mushroom Picker is different from other Syndicates because the Nightcap position uses a up-to-date system.

The biggest advantage of a up-to-date supplier is this there is no limit to how many Nightcap positions you can earn in a day. This is a huge, welcome change from Warframesother factions that block your progress after a certain point. Here’s what you need to know to rank up in Nightcap.

Bounties for deep mines are the basis of the Vallis Subconscious. You can only get parts from them Nokko, Warframesmaster of mushroomsand are necessary to strengthen your bond with Nightcap.

Instead of running through missions and seeing the numbers climb, you can improve your reputation with Nightcap by collecting mushrooms in Deepmine bounties, much like Hex treasures in Höllvania. You can apply these resources to complete his field guide – essentially a Pokédex of Venus mushrooms. They are affected by the Orokin Eye effect, so apply it if you built the Parallax Dropship from the Zariman kit.

Completing the reward gives you Fergolitebut each additional objective in the Deepmine bounty results in the loss of an additional mushroom at the end of the mission. Although it is a fairly straightforward system, it has increasing requirements and an RNG layer. We’ve broken it down below.

The field guide lists 16 types of mushrooms found in the depths of Fortuna, and Nightcap’s research requires searching for them in the Deepmines. You level up in Nightcap by completing field guide entries. Each mushroom has three levels of analysis, although more samples are needed at each level. Their rarity also affects the number of samples required.

In our experience, there are three main types of mushrooms, except Dull Button.

Rarity Quantity required (level one) Quantity required (level two) Quantity required (level three) Total required
Common 3 6 9 18
Unusual 4 8 12 24
Rare 5 10 15 30

Completing a research level requires you to give the mushrooms to Nightcap, which depletes your supply. For example, if you had five samples of a common mushroom, you would give him three, and you still have another two in your inventory.

Here’s how many mushrooms it takes to reach each reputation level with him, according to Digital extremes: :

Rank number Rank name Full analysis required
One Unconscious One
Two Inquisitive Two
Three Prospector Six
Four Gardener 12
Five Steward 16

If you are having no luck with extra rewards or mission spawns, Nightcap sells some mushrooms for Fergolytea resource awarded at the end of Deepmine bounties or by composting unused mushrooms. Each sample costs 10 Fergolites regardless of rarity, but the most uncommon ones are tied to higher Nightcap ranks.

Promotion with Nightcap is a up-to-date, refreshing formula. His inventory contains intriguing offers, including all Nokko parts and uncommon Arcana, so get ready to click on every mushroom you see. As usual with Fortuna NPCs, Nightcap opens his chest plate at level five, placing his face against the strange helmet you were talking to.
