Recovering a health potion for the wounded warrior Isaac in the Forge is not as straightforward as it seems, and many players can easily get confused that the mission is bugged. Here’s how to complete it quickly and easily so you can claim the XP rewards yourself!
The ruined Cave in the Forge’s Forgotten Realm is full of threatening wraiths and skeletons, so it’s no surprise that the injured man, Isaac, is a bit more damaged at the entrance to the main cave.
To regain his health, he will ask you to bring him a basic health potion.
How to give Isaac a health potion in the Forge
To get a health potion for Isaac, you need to buy it from the potion seller in Stonewake’s Crossand then press it in the hotbar to hold it in your hand before you talk to it.
To return to Stonewake’s Cross from the Forgotten Realm, open the Portal from your inventory and put it away. Then interact with the Portal to return to the previous area. From here you can go straight from your spawn point to reach the potion seller, who offers health potions for just $150.
To register a health potion, you must exploit the basic health potion I from the first potion seller in the game, not health potion II, which can be purchased in the Forbidden Kingdom. At the time of writing, the stronger and more costly elixir will not work. Isaac will simply ask, “Is this a joke to you” and end the conversation.
If a mission isn’t working as expected, check these two key things:
- Make sure you exploit Health Potion I, which is located in the first area of the Forge
- Then make sure you have a health potion in your hand when you talk to Isaac
Once you’ve done that, it’s time to head into the Ruined Cave itself, where you’ll find plenty of brand up-to-date Ore locations, as well as elite versions of enemies.
