Here’s a buffer for you:
OK, ready?
To get to Elden’s Ring Walking mausoleums, you have to bring them down to your level.
So for many hours (e.g. 30) I thought that I had to run up a mountain somewhere and then jump down. Some will require this, others are simpler.
How to get to all the walking mausoleums in Elden’s Ring
In fact, it is seven Walking Mausoleums in the base Elden Ring game. Here they are from the nearest Place of Grace:

Isolated Merchant’s Cottage (Limgrave)
Just northwest of your spawn point, you’ll see your first Mausoleum wandering around the area. Carefully remove the barnacles from the legs. They look more like clusters of skulls. You will do this by attacking them. Once you clear enough of them, the Mausoleum will lower, allowing you to enter the tomb.

Northern City Gate (Liurnia Jezior)
Go north from Hely by the cliff to find the Bell Mausoleum. This one requires you to jump onto the grassy part of his body to knock him down. You need to wait until it gets close enough to the cliffs that you can climb aboard. You can also utilize the spirit spring to jump on it if you are afraid of falling and dying.
Once you’re at the top, clear the barnacles from his body to lower him and open the door.
Mausoleum Complex (Liurnia Jezior)
There are two Mausoleums here that will require you to hit their legs with barnacles to bring them down. It’s elementary, but they get livid and start jumping. When you see them doing this, remember to step back so you don’t get crushed.

Wreck of the Apostate (Sacred Snowfield)
South of this Place of Grace will be another traveling Mausoleum. Once again, cut off the skull barnacles on his feet to knock them down. This time he will shoot ranged attacks at you, so be ready to dodge not only his feet, but also the magic projectiles heading your way.

Main gate of Sol Castle (Giant Mountain Peaks)
Right next to the gates of Sol Castle there will be the sixth Mausoleum. Slash the barnacles to knock them down.

Nameless Eternal City (Deep Roots)
You’ll find the last one underground. Unlike most other mausoleums, you’ll have to utilize the roots surrounding it to climb onto something while it’s still moving. The barnacles’ skulls will be on the upper body compared to the legs. There are enough of them to lower it.
Once you’re there, Elden’s Ring You can get used to walking mausoleums duplicate memories.
If you played in Souls series, you will be very familiar with this concept: they are the souls of the bosses. IN Elden’s Ringthey can be used to “crush” into raw runes (souls) for leveling up to purchase items, or they can be transmuted into one of two items in the hub area (usually a weapon or spell).
Good luck! Walking mausoleums are very straightforward to spot, and now that you know the trick, you can destroy them.
