How to Get the Katalina “Mobile App Bonus Goals” Skin in Fortnite on iOS and Android

This Catherine skin is a reward for those who play Fortnite natively on iOS and Android.

Available in the Mobile App Bonus Goals questline, they run throughout Chapter 5, Season 4 (which features a variety of Marvel-themed maps, weapons, and Battle Pass skins, including Doctor Doom).

While these quests are evident to all players, the ability to complete them—and therefore unlock the Katalina skin—is circumscribed to certain mobile devices and/or regions. This page explains what it takes to qualify.

It is worth noting that the Katalina skin will be sold to all players at lastso this isn’t your only chance to get it if you don’t have the right setup – even though you might have to spend V-Bucks to get it.

How to Complete Fortnite Mobile App Bonus Goals

“Mobile App Bonus Goals” is a series of tasks that require you to play Fortnite natively on iOS (specifically iPhones, not iPads) or Androidwhether through the Epic Games Store app or the PAL AltStore.

The Epic Games Store app is available on Android devices worldwide, while the Epic Games Store app and AltStore PAL store can only be downloaded on iOS devices in the EU.

For iOS users, just to clarify, If you live in North America, the UK or any country outside the EU, you cannot download and play the Epic Games Store app Fortnite natively. iOS EU users can see the exact list of eligible territories at Apple Support Site(Note: If you live in the UK or Japan, you’re planning to support those two territories from mid-2025 onwards – though that will be long after the Mobile App Bonus Targets mission expires.)

If you’re not entirely sureinstallation test Fortnite (more on how to do this in the next section) is a quick way to check if you can play the game natively on your device.

If you If on a qualifying device and can be installed Fortnite natively, then the process of completing “Mobile App Bonus Goals” is elementary – you just need to earn XP. By earning a total of 100,000 XP, you will unlock the Tactical Kat Wrap, Kat Claws Pickaxe, Katalina’s Kit Bag Back Bling and finally, the Katalina Outfit.

How to Install Fortnite on iOS and Android

You can play Fortnite on iOS and Android by installing the Epic Games Store app (or the PAL AltStore if you’re looking for an alternative for iOS users in the EU).

To get started, visit fortnite.com/download in your mobile device browser. From there you will immediately find out if your device can install one of the above marketplaces, and therefore, Fortnite.

If you can installand then you will be guided through the different steps to access your market Fortnite can be downloaded which are also listed on Epic Official BlogIf that’s a bit of a bummer, it’s something Epic itself recognizes, pointing to Apple and Google offering “intentionally low-quality installation experiences burdened with multiple steps, confusing device settings, and horrendous screens,” according to our Mobile Store Launch Report .

If you can’t installyou know you can still play Fortnite on a mobile device in any region via streaming, such as Xbox Cloud Gaming, NVIDIA GeForce NOW, Amazon Luna, or locally via PlayStation Remote Play if it is installed on your PS4 or PS5. However, playing via streaming NO count towards the “Mobile App Bonus” targets – only “native” versions of the game installed on your device are taken into account.

As mentioned, if your intended goal is to install Fortnite on mobile, the goal is to complete the “Mobile App Bonus” objectives and earn the Katalina skin. It will eventually be sold to all players — so even if you can’t get it for free, you can still earn it in the future.
