Where does the ice ax appear in DayZ Frostline: Sakhal?
If you are looking for an ice ax in DayZ Iceline: Sakhalthe best solution will be to simply find it on the ground. Where exactly does this appear? To find out, we can take a look at the in-game loot economy files on the site official GitHub of the game.
This reveals some fascinating information. An ice ax spawns anywhere the game designates a town or village, and there are at least nine of them on the map at any given time. This means that you will have to go to the nearest city and plunder it, because you will find an ice ax not only in the desert!

So you have an ice axe. What now? Weird, DayZ Ice Line it doesn’t add any novel functionality to the weapon-tool hybrid, but it’s as useful as ever. Equip it by dragging it from your inventory to the shortcut bar at the bottom of the screen, where you can operate it for the following purposes:
- Opening cans spills 20-40% of the food.
- Rock mining to get massive stones.
- Digging worms out of the ground for fishing bait.
- Removing restrictions on players.
- Attacking zombies and players as melee weapons.
- Construction of fences and guard towers.
- Dismantling player-built bases.
- Creating plots for growing fruit and vegetables.
Anything is possible in the future, so hopefully Bohemia Interactive will provide more Sakhal-specific uses for the ice ax. Ice ax on the ice map – it just makes sense.
