How to expand your power grid in the Arknights: Endfield beta

Published:

Your base’s Power Network is like your overall influence on the entire world Knights: Endfieldand its development is a key element of the entire game. You need an ever-growing energy grid to even solve some of the game’s overworld puzzles, so here’s how you can expand it when the need arises.

How to boost your power grid in Arknights: Endfield

Building power networks is directly tied to the core base building aspect of Arknight: Endfield, and you will need to apply this mechanic to achieve this goal. The basis for the expansion of the power grid is utilization Relay towers. Relay towers resemble power lines. They connect your mesh to wherever you have placed your relay tower, but you need to make sure they are all connected to each other to formulate your mesh. This is very basic to do, but from Knights: Endfield is sometimes quite complicated, I will walk you through the process.

How to place relay towers

First, make sure you have several relay towers in your possession Backpack. If you don’t have them, you have to make them at all AIC (main or minor). They only require a little Origioscrust craft.

Once you have a few of them, make a note of the location you want to expand your mesh to and start placing relay towers from your backpack. A visual silhouette will appear to let you know exactly where the tower will be placed.

Once placed, you need to do this connect the relay tower to your existing network. If you don’t take this step, no amount of relay towers will expand your power grid. To do this, click the button Start broadcasting option.

This will give you Power cord that follows your lively character. It can only extend to 80 metersso you need to make sure that the Relay Towers you place never exceed this distance. With an lively power cord, go to a relay tower or AIC base already on your network and interact with it using Connect the transmission cable option.

This will connect your modern Relay Tower to the rest of the base, effectively expanding your power grid. This, of course, allows you to build additional structures away from your main base and power them with poles.

As the basic expansion mechanic in Arknight: Endfield, you can repeat this process as often as you like to expand as far as you want, as long as you haven’t reached the base capacity. If power capacity is hindering your expansion efforts, there is a way to boost the maximum capacity.

How to boost power in Arknights: Endfield

Most of the structures in Knights: Endfield they require power to operate, even when fully built. There is a limit to the amount of power that can be used at any given time, and if you exceed this limit, your base will essentially shut down into a low power state. You can build a special structure called Thermal Bank to overcome this limitation.

Thermal banks generate energy by using fuel, which increases your power. However, fuel is not free and must be placed in a thermal bank in order to function. The best source of fuel is Origin orebecause it is extremely common and basic to mine in excess.

How to unlock the Thermal Bank in Arknights: Endfield

To start building Thermal Banks in your base, you must first unlock them in AIC Basic Plan. This is a mechanic that isn’t unlocked at the beginning, so if you’re not sure what it is or how to get it, just proceed with the main taskand you will be able to apply it.

The basic AIC plan allows you to unlock various technologies to build on your base, and the Thermal Bank is one of these technologies. To unlock it, open the file AIC Basic Plan and search Power 1 node in the tree.

Unlocking Power 1 gives you access to Thermal Banks, which will allow you to build them and place them in your base. However, you will also need to apply Basic AIC Index to do this. This particular resource/currency is solely for unlocking technologies in the tree, and you’ll need a lot of them as you progress.

How to get the base AIC index in Arknights: Endfield

As already mentioned, you will need a enormous amount of base AIC index to improve your base as you progress Knights: Endfield. Fortunately, they are not complex to obtain. To get them, you need to interact with VR simulator devices in your area. They look like yellow men’s foam tube and appear as cracked oval on your world map.

Simply interact with the VR simulator to obtain a basic AIC index. You only get one Basic AIC index per VR simulator device, but there are usually quite a few of them scattered throughout each map. If you can’t interact with the VR simulator, just do so follow the main story until you gain access to the mechanics of the Core AIC Blueprint.
