In Black Myth Wukong, curious players have several secrets and mysterious plots to discover, and one such quest appears Old drum rattling an item you get in Chapter 2. The Old Rattling Drum has a strange employ that you only find out about once you know where to employ it. This means it’s uncomplicated to miss.
Those who take the time to bid on the Old-Rattle Drum will be pleasantly surprised by the next secret boss to fight. So without further ado, here it is how to employ Old-Rattle Drum in Black Myth Wukong.
How to employ the Old-Rattle drum in Black Myth Wukong
First of all, the Old-Rattle Drum is… dropped by Tiger Acolyte enemy in Chapter 2. You will find him on the bridge, just behind the Wind Village guardian’s shrine.
This area can be accessed after defeating the Tiger Vanguard, but to complete this quest you must first obtain the Sterness of Stone and Keeness of Tiger.
Now the fight isn’t that bad; this Acolyte is rather faint. Although, if you don’t dodge his blows, he can knock you back and eventually fly off the bridge you’re fighting on. Be careful and play it safe and sound, and if you don’t end up falling off the edge of the bridge, the fight is uncomplicated.
Now the Old-Rattle Drum must be used in three different areas located in Yellow Wind Ridge from Chapter 2. Let’s get started.
Use the Old-Rattle drum in Windrest Hamlet
The first place you need to take the Old Rattling Drum is fortunately not far from where we obtained the item in Black Myth Wukong.
Go to Windrest Hamlet Keeper’s Shrine and enter the petite village. Where you previously fought three rats in red robes, there is another door nearby guarded by two skeletons.
As you get closer, your vision will go gray and the baby will start talking to you. You’ll also be prompted to employ the Old-Rattle Drum, so employ it. The skeletons here will come to life very quickly, so I recommend getting out of there quickly.
Use the ancient rattling drum in the Valley of Despair
Next, we need to take the Old-Rattle Drum to the Valley of Despair Keeper’s Shrine. This is where you previously fought the Second Prince of Flowing Sands and the King of Flowing Sands.
Here you need to interact with the altar and employ Tally to open the door. If you haven’t already, you will need the Sterness of Stone and Keeness of Tiger to open it, as mentioned earlier.
Once you open the door, simply go down the stairs and keep to the right. Once you pass through the wooden huts on the right and enter the other side, your vision will start to go gray again. Use the Old-Rattle Drum when prompted.
Use the Old-Rattle drum in Sandgate Village
The third and final place you can take the Old-Rattle Drum is Sandgate Village, where there is a well near the main entrance.
Go to Village Entrance Keeper’s Shrine and enter Sandgate Village through the door guarded by many archers. You should open it earlier, but if not, you can go through the back of the village.
If you’re entering through the main gate of the village, head left. This is right next to where you fought Earth Wolf earlier, and the well we need to track down will be here. Once you’re close, your vision will start to go gray again.
Blow the Old-Rattle Drum here, and the child who spoke to us will appear out of nowhere before diving into the well. If you’re feeling brave, follow him.
What’s at the bottom of the well in Black Myth Wukong?
If you decide to dive into the well in Black Myth Wukong, you’ll be thrown into a fight with Mad Tiger. After your first attempt at fighting him – or defeating him – you’ll be able to grab the Bottom of the Well Keeper’s Shrine so you can return here to fight him later if necessary.
After defeating Mad Tiger, you’ll be able to absorb his Spirit Ability and loot the nearby chest to find a Plague Gourd.
