How to Defeat the Imurah Boss in Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2

Published:

As the campaign progresses Warhammer 40K: Space Marines 2 and begin to uncover the truth behind the Tyranid invasion, you will encounter the forces of Chaos. At their head is none other than Imurah, a powerful, corrupt Space Marine.

Imurah is a completely different opponent than the one you have fought so far Warhammer 40K: Space Marines 2. He flies around the arena you fight him in and throws all sorts of Chaos magic at you. I really struggled with this boss fight, as it’s a far cry from the Tyranid scum you’ve been through so far. You can bypass any of his attacks if you know what you’re doing when you go in.

Imurah will fly around quickly when you start the fight and summon projectiles that fly towards you. Use the pillars around the arena to block these projectiles and shoot anyone who tries to move around them. The skull projectiles do a decent amount of damage and will kill you when you least expect it, so watch out for them and shoot them when they appear.

After you cut a chunk of Imurah’s health, he will go to the center of the arena and summon several corrupted enemies, both humans and Space Marines. The smaller enemies are effortless to cut down, but the Space Marines, the Thousand Suns, have flamethrowers and powerful punches and will take you down.

My advice is to get away from the crowd if you can, and shoot or slash the massive guys before they gather. These guys can and will come at you, so kill them as quickly and safely as possible.

Make sure to get a few shots in at Imurah the entire time the enemies are attacking you. You need to keep damaging him for the boss fight to end, otherwise it’s a long, drawn-out death.

After a moment, Imurah will throw another attack into the mix. As she heads towards the center of the arena, she will charge up red energy that will explode throughout the arena. This can damage and knock you down, so hide behind a pillar if you see her charging up. It’s an effortless attack to avoid and is very stupid to die to.

Finally, you need to be aware of Imurah’s location at all times. He can teleport and start attacking, so dodge or parry those blue attacks. If you don’t, he’ll pull out a red one, and those really hurt. You don’t need to attack him while he’s circling around trying to land melee attacks, but it’s a good opportunity to land some powerful Chainsword slashes.

Once you reach the last bit of health on Imurah, he will disappear. You can’t actually kill him in this fight, because he is a coward. Of course, you should expect this, since he is a servant of Chaos and is nowhere near as powerful as Titus.
