It’s very uncomplicated to miss one of the first characters who can solve a problem for you, especially if you decide to fend for yourself in the city without joining the first faction you meet.

Railway Spine reduces your character’s damage by as much as 10% across the board, making you even weaker against the mutated bugs, animals, and bandits lurking around every corner.

To get back to peak condition you need to do the following!

How to Cure Railway Spine in Fallout: London

To cure your Railway Spine, you must seek support from Yvette at the Vagabond gang hideout in the Swan and Mitre pub in Bromley, south-east London.

When you first emerge from the crash, you find Sebastian Gaunt, leader of the Vagabonds, and a few of his mates returning to the pub just around the corner. If you agree to join them, you’ll go through several stages of the quest to support a wounded Vagabond in Greenwich, before being left to your own devices to make your way to Bromley.

When you reach Swan and Mitre, you will find it under attack by the Isle of Dogs Syndicate. Help Gaunt and his allies clear the area and you will be accepted into the proper fold.

One of the first people you talk to after the fight is Yvette, who asks you to chase down a scout who escaped the action. Before you run away, though, review Yvette’s dialogue and she’ll be able to heal your Railway Spine and remove the damage nerf.

Be sure to do this now, otherwise Yvette will go on her own mission after you start the next part of The Swan and Mithra quest, so you’ll have to play a lot longer – and endure a damage nerf across multiple fights – if you miss her before she leaves.

Otherwise, continue helping the Vagabonds until you meet her again.

Now that you’ve started your journey with the Vagabonds, why not support Sabertooth Syd solve Dove’s dilemma in the Catching Up quest?

For a change, you could try finding Churchill.
