With the large summer update Hitman Assassination WorldDeveloper IO Interactive has introduced novel challenges to the game to keep players busy during what is usually a still period for releases. Some of these challenges, like the Sapienza Sports Club, are downright diabolical.
To complete the Sapienza Sports Club challenge in Hitman Assassination World tasks you with taking out two of Sapienza’s main targets in unique ways. You have to eliminate Francesca De Santis with an explosive golf ball, and Silvio Caruso with an explosive baseball. The thing is, there’s a story mission in Sapienza that involves using an explosive golf ball, and if you’re like me, you’ll complete it without a moment’s hesitation. But that’s not how you do this challenge.
How to complete the Sapienza Sports Club challenge in Hitman Assassination World
Below I have described in detail how to complete the Sapienza Sports Club challenge Hitman Assassination World in effortless to follow steps. Note that this is just the method I used because this game is so open-ended that there are dozens of different ways to do it. I veered away from the Silent Assassin path because it adds unnecessary complications that you don’t have to worry about.
Step 1: Make sure you have unlocked the explosive baseball
I didn’t have the explosive baseball unlocked Hitman Assassination World before taking on this challenge, so I had to put in some work to reach Mastery Level 10 in the Whittleton Creek location before I could try. Based on my experience, I think you can reach the required level and earn this item within two or three mission runs.
You do want to make sure you complete as many story missions, challenges, and feats as possible though. Each one increases your Mastery, so don’t hold back. I also played the bonus mission for this location a few times, which gave my Mastery a huge boost without having to play through the same mission multiple times.
Step 2: Choose the right gear and get dressed
See my loadout for this challenge above. Of course, you need to bring an explosive baseball. I chose the ICA Safehouse as the starting location because you can bring an explosive golf ball there, but I also smuggled one through the same safehouse. You’ll also need an electronic key hacker to complete the secondary objective so you can escape. Finally, Agent 47 should wear breathable clothing because Italy is balmy this time of year.
Even if you can’t start at the ICA Safehouse location, it’s very close to the main square, the default starting location for Sapienza. See the map reference above. Grab the explosive golf ball, then exit through the door to the roof. You can climb into the apartment above and steal the chef’s disguise from the bed. You’ll need it to find your targets.
Step 3: Break into the villa and steal the golden coach’s phone
Next, you’ll need to get to the villa and defeat the golf coach to get his phone. You can follow the story mission to find him, but he’s always hanging out by the diminutive golf course at the back of the property. Slide along the edge from the same rooftop where you grabbed the chef disguise and go through the kitchen to get to the villa.
From there, run around the villa until you find the golden trainer. He’s tough to miss in his striped green top. He’ll walk from the pool to the edge of the cliff, where he’ll call his secret lover. There’s also a guard on the edge of the cliff, but you’ll need to get them both out for this to work.
To do this, I lured the guard into the lofty grass while the golf coach was at the pool, overpowered him, and threw his body off the cliff. Then, when the golf coach came over, I simply hit him over the head with expired spaghetti sauce and he rolled off the cliff on his own. You don’t need a disguise, so let him fall.
Step 4: Eliminate the first target
Use the phone to call Francesca De Santis in her room. It can be found in the villa just down the stairs where the golf coach was talking to her on the phone. The best way is to enter through the bathroom window, which is around the corner from the door and under the diminutive bridge.
Wait inside until the target appears. She won’t lead the guard inside, so wait until the door closes and you’re alone. Then equip an explosive golf ball and throw it at her head to eliminate her. Immediately level the scene through the bathroom window to avoid unwanted attention.
Step 5: Remove the Second Target
The explosion after the first target dies will trigger an alarm state. The guards will then drag the second target to the underground bunker beneath the villa. To get there, head to the cliff where the golf coach and guard were hanging out and turn left down the cliff face. See the map reference above.
Follow the path down, eliminating the guard along the way, and you’ll find a door. Use the electronic key hacker to unlock the door, and you’ll be able to hear your second target in the cave. Wait for all the guards to serene down a bit, and let your target head up towards the door you’re waiting at.
Then equip and fire an explosive baseball at the target’s head. This should also kill the guard near him, but run and hide in the lofty grass near the door in case someone else runs out. It’s worth grabbing the soldier disguise if anyone comes out, as it’s useful in the next area.
Step 6: Destroy the virus and exit
The next part of the mission is one you should be familiar with. You need to destroy the virus in the cave, then leave the area. I did this twice because I mixed up the explosives on my first attempt. On one attempt, I used a shotgun to kill all the guards, then destroyed the virus and used the plane as an exit.
On my second attempt, the cave alarm caused the NPCs in hazmat suits to leave the lab. After turning the ventilation back on, I slipped through the door they came through, donned my hazmat suit, and began wreaking havoc on the systems and destroying the virus without being seen. I continued to employ the plane as an exit since it’s closest to the lab.
