The Secret of the Unicorns Challenge Hitman Assassination World is fairly basic to complete, provided you have a good understanding of the map. Without it, you’ll struggle, making any Silent Assassin attempt even more complex.
Developer IO Interactive has added the Mystery of the Unicorns challenge to Hitman Assassination World as part of the game’s Summer 2024 update. It gives you a novel reason to revisit Dartmoor, although not in the way you might initially think. Instead, this challenge is closely tied to The Dartmoor Garden Show mission. It’s the only main Escalation mission type in the game that’s a core part of the story rather than a smaller chunk of the standard location, as it features a completely revamped version of the main map.
How to complete the Unicorn Mystery challenge in Hitman: World of Assassination
Below I’ve explained how to complete the Mystery of the Unicorns challenge. Hitman Assassination World in basic to follow steps. Read on to find the point you’re struggling with and see exactly what you need to do to progress. Note that this is my method for completing the challenge, but everything else is malleable as long as you meet the main requirements.
Step 1: Find the unicorn horn
Your first task is to find a unicorn horn in The Dartmoor Garden Show location. The unicorn horns from the main Dartmoor location have been slightly changed, so you can’t rely solely on this map knowledge. The easiest unicorn horn to find is to the left of the main entrance to the Garden Show. You’ll find a map reference for this item below.
Once you have the unicorn horn, your only task will be to kill your target with it.
Step 2: Kill the target
Dartmoor Garden Show randomly assigns targets to each level, so it’s tough to give any hints on how to best exploit the unicorn’s horn to complete the Mystery of the Unicorns challenge. However, the first level of the Escalation mission always has one target to kill and one to keep alive.
To complete this challenge, I simply found my target, killed him with a unicorn horn attack, and then ran to the exit on the lawn. This is definitely the best way to complete the challenge quickly, as it allows you to get in and out without too much fuss. You don’t have to complete the Silent Assassin run to complete the challenge, so why not complete that first and then do this purist run?
