All block moves in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero
There are three different types of blocks in the game Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero. The right shoulder button (R1/RB) itself is a standard block for most attacks. However, you also need to guard against positional strikes. If your opponent tries to perform an overhead attack, hold down the right shoulder button and move the left analog stick up. If an enemy attacks you with its feet, hold down the right shoulder button and move the left analog stick down. More defensive moves should be considered
There are additional defensive maneuvers you can perform. For the cost of 2 skills, you can perform a counterattack. It is costly, but it can save you in hard situations. Press the right analog stick while an opponent is in a combo to counter them. This is a good way to avoid combos. This also works against Ki attacks (energy blasts) and instantly brings you closer to the enemy. Be careful though. If you exploit counters too often, your enemy can press the round button (B on Xbox) to counter your counter.
If your opponent tries to tackle you, you can cancel it by pressing the block button. Super counter can also be performed when the enemy is mid-combo. Press the up button and the normal attack button (square on PlayStation) when your opponent is about to strike to stop the enemy immediately. It’s tough to achieve, but it’s incredibly satisfying. Finally, you can instantly transmit and appear behind the enemy by tapping the cover button just before the attack animation begins.
