How long is the Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 campaign?

Warhammer 40K: Space Marines 2 is a game with three main parts. You have the campaign, and then the PvE and PvP multiplayer modes, which will keep you hooked for dozens of hours. But it’s definitely worth knowing how long the campaign will take you.

I think the campaign is the best place to start Warhammer 40K: Space Marines 2. It will teach you the basic mechanics, as well as giving you an epic story to experience that blew me away and continues to do so every time I replay the mission. However, it is a time commitment, and you will need to make sure you have enough to get through it before you can even think about exploring the wider multiplayer offerings.

Campaign in Warhammer 40K: Space Marines 2 lasts between 10 and 12 hours. It took me 11 hours to complete on Normal difficulty, exploring every area and listening to all the NPC conversations. It would definitely take less time if you played on the easiest difficulty and blasted through every mission and cutscene. However, if you crank up the difficulty, you’re probably looking at a 20-hour campaign.

That’s not all Warhammer 40K: Space Marines 2 has to offer you, though. The game’s PvE Operations multiplayer mode is filled with classes that have perks and weapons that you can only level up with experience earned from completing missions. This will add dozens of hours to your time spent with the game, and that’s without even touching on the PvP multiplayer mode.

Eternal War is a multiplayer PvP mode. All the experience you earn here also levels up your classes and weapons and helps you build your cosmetic collection. This is definitely the most complex mode to master because no matter how powerful your classes are, it’s your skills that will aid you climb to the top of the PvP lobby.

Finally, developer Saber Interactive has planned post-launch content for the game, which includes novel modes, enemies, and even prestige ranks for PvP. These are just the first four seasons. There may be more in the future, as all of the content from the first season will be added to the game. You could put hundreds of hours into the game if you want to see everything it has to offer, and given the way it plays, I think I will.
